yaoi gets away with so much bs because authors can always frame toxic relationship aspects in a positive light. I really think we could have gone without everything that happened to chanwoo and im not going to just forget because the author framed their relationship in a positive light a chapter directly after chanwoo's boundaries were overstepped. MD didn't even really properly apologize it was just ok in the story because its just assumed chanwoo forgives him and loves him. Its not a real story so I'm not expecting totally realistic relationship psychology, but its the portrayal dynamics like these (abuse -> abused party forgiving abuser with little question) in fiction is part of why so many abusive relationships go on for so long. On one hand its just a single story and maybe not everyone reading this is going to experience severe brain damage from a single idealized toxic relationship, but its indicative of a larger problem in romantic fiction (not just yaoi) as a whole and I hope pointing this out can open discussion and help people recognize this when it happens in other works. wow that was long

Omg yes I agree with you!!!! The process was interesting but like you said everything would’ve been okay if it was avoided. Also with the whole apology! They never had a conversation about the whole thing that just happened and what’s going to happen from now on. I get it that it was a side story, stuff has to be cram but in the main story Dong-gyun and Jiwon had a talk and resolved their issues. I wish that they had that.

I agree with you on such a deep level. The 2 chapters right before the last one are extremely abusive and MD doesn't even appologize or explain himself after that. But Chanwoo appologizes multiple times. He is the abused one, his boundaries were violated, he's not the person who should appologize. Tbh I don't even get the feeling that MD actually loves Chanwoo...doing things like that just doesn't register in my brain as love.

ehhhhhhhhhhh i see that the author was going for angst but they really did make md take it too far. chanwoo was literally sexually assaulted he objected to what was going on multiple times and was clearly uncomfortable. I know they're fictional characters but we really shouldnt glamorize this dynamic in fiction. people saying "thats what he gets for not saying yes to md" are just insane in my opinion. honestly this is just bad writing, its a situation used to create melodrama. From the creation of this character that used chanwoo to meet with md to that whole scene we just witnessed. the situation of md trying to mend a relationship with chanwoo could have been dramatic and interesting without the rape and melodrama i think.

say it again please, bc that literally explains what just happened, ppl are siding w MD bc this is what "bdsm" is like and that ChAnWoO DeSeRvE tHAt SlAp, like tf not he didnt and this isnt bdsm, that was just abuse, he saw how hurt chanwoo was, yet he put him up w the same guy who used him, chanwoo was mistreated and MD didnt like that, but chanwoo turned him down for probably being confused and thats okay, but a lotta ppl dont see it which makes my eyes bleed,,, and ik they're just fictional characters but still, it annoys me when ppl side others for dumb reasons.

I thought the rest of the stories were fairly unique and original for one-shots, all the characters this author draws are so distinctive looking. I was so excited when I saw the chubby guy and the tan guy cause you barely see characters like that in bl and I really like guys that look like both of those characters.. I got even MORE excited when the chubby guy turned out to be shy and submissive yet so gruff on the outside because that's another character trope I like. BUT THEN HE JUST GOT SEXUALLY HARASSED? ughhhhhhhhrhhrhrhfhfjbkkjbdvjsdj WAHHHHHH starts crying and sniffing loudly ITS NOT FAIRRRRR. Really disappointed me, have yet to find a bl comic with a chubby character that doesn't let me down somehow :c
It just hits every spot... especially with the black haired guy showing his more sensitive side in the newer chapters it just gets better and better
