I feel like some of the fandom is not mature enough to read LITC, because why is it every time a new chapter comes out, there’s this ongoing war about who’s the biggest asshole or who’s the biggest manipulator, need I remind you all that the two of them are actually mentally done. the realest take ever. A lot of people reading this story completely gloss over a point that the author is continuously showing us each and every chapter. Every character has had their fair share of being terrible at one point because they are NOT mentally there yet. The story isn’t about making anyone a villain but just telling a story of trauma and overcoming that (along with other things). Skylar NEVER liked Chan-li. He didn’t even know the boy, he most definitely liked the idea of Chan li but never directly liked him, he saw Chan li as this perfect knight in shinning armor and not as someone with their own thoughts and feelings. With Cirrus it’s quite the opposite which makes their relationship seem so genuine and raw, from the get go Skylar could tell that cirrus was on another level of freaky shit, and instead of exposing him or idk getting a restraining order against him, Skylar decided to understand and see Cirrus as a person and not just a thought, instead of trying to change Cirrus he accepted him and even consumed the same freaky shit cirrus had going on (not that Skylar wasn’t freaky enough before ). So no bby. Skylar will not change Cirrus for Chan li. Chan li can’t handle that much freakishness. It’s like a Victorian child trying Taco Bell’s Baja blast for the first time, that Baja blast will kill the child just like the freakishness will kill Chan li.

I feel like this story is too complex for some of you cause the way you all making Skylar seem like a whole ass villain is astonishing, BOTH of them are quite literally mentally unstable teenagers who have yet to get over their traumas, their relationship was so obviously going to be difficult from the get go, some of you need to get that in your heads and stop pin pointing on who’s the bigger asshole every-time a new chapter comes out, THEY ARE JUST TEENAGERS PPL.

I’m not excusing the fact that teenagers can be horrible human beings at all, we have even seen in this story how teenagers can destroy life’s just like that one mf did to Skylar, what I’m trying to emphasize when I call them both teenager is to show how un unexperienced and new they are to their relationship and too love, they are yet to learn how to express each others love without hurting each other and this is all due to their past traumas they haven’t heal from at all. I’m not trying to defend their actions at all, but their is more to their characters than one being a “bitch” or a “top tier villain”, they are way more complex than that. If you can’t comprehend the complexity of this story please stop reading.
FINALLY, the pacing is so perfect for this story, the realism of this story makes it so enjoyable as well!! it will be so unrealistic for the both of them to be peacefully in love and happy jolly, that will just be so out of character and unrealistic for both of them. A handful of bls lack story, pacing, and realism, which is what makes them seem bland and rushed, that makes lost in the cloud the even more special considering it has genres that haven’t really been seen before in other bls.
