I was very close to shipping Hayan and mc... but "she's" a guy. Though I did have a hunch from the beginning
I aint completely happy that he stabbed himself because i hoped he would last longer and fight for his freedom (killing the blonde dude in the process wouldn't be too bad)
But I'm at least glad that he didn't end up falling in love with him and just forget the blackmail n all the other stuff, like many yaoi seem to do. That's one of the reasons why i have nearly stopped reading everything including male x male.
