This story really reminds me of my love story with my husband. We met the right person at the wrong time. We went through a lot in such a short time, hurt each other and went out separate ways for some time. Only to meet again in the state where things ended. We both tried to secretly let the other know we still loved the other, we ended up having to have a long midnight talk. He ended up coming back to our home state with me and we been together ever since. Almost 6 years married now, I don’t regret a thing. We did things we weren’t proud of, however we learned from them. We still disagree from time to time but come back together to work on it. There may be times where our love wavers, but we put in the work to maintain it and keep it alive. Love isn’t an easy straight path. It can have mountains and valleys, but that’s what makes it worth it. In the end you know you traveled the distance with the person you hold dearest to you. You wouldn’t trade it for the world. They become your home, your safe place, your best friend, your lover, your partner. It’s a beautiful journey that can sometimes be painful, but always blooms so beautifully as long as you tend to it and communicate.
