I hate a lot, but what I hate most is that it portrays BD/SM relationships as inherently wrong. He's afraid of falling back into old patters? If you get off on pain, that's not a bad thing. Everyone in this was just doing it wrong. One guy was an abuser full stop, one was processing his own issues by pushing someone who with no experience into a sexual kink that wasn't his, and finally you have the guy who is insecure and full anger and allows himself to be pushed and pulled until he lashes out. They all suck and none of them actually know anything about a real BD/SM relationship. As a person in the lifestyle it pisses me off to see these things. Going to go read My Sadistic Master now to read a more accurate portrayal of the culture.

Please do join me. In it the Dom is a proper Dom, brutal in play but gives great aftercare to his Sub. The Sub is strong and stands up for himself when someone tries to take advantage. He never has to be forceful with his Dom and can just be cute baby for his Dom daddy. There is an age difference, but the younger one is the one who pursues the relationship at first the Dom is just worried about him and keeps feeding him until the kid finally is like 'Do me' being cute and begging for it. The Dom is super hot too, all buff and tatted. Mobster x Student, the kid is in college. Anywho here's the link.

This novel gets super dark. Not just the obsessive ML in the novel, but what happened in the real world too. When it was revealed why the MC is not well, though that's not something in the novel, it was genuinely upsetting. I couldn't stop thinking about it, I talked to people about it because I had to share since it was really bothering me so much. It's just about the worse thing I've ever read in a novel. I'm sure that some people won't agree with how bad it is to me. But it legit caused me to have an existential crisis.

From my understanding (I might be wrong) in the real world they were in a mall with mc, ml, and sister until the mall collapsed, while they collapsed rubble damaged the MC and ML but the only one who was badly hurt was the MC that's why he's always sick, so yes they are in the sisters novel. I believe the brother is either the sister or someone else but they had memories as well but forgot them or smth among those lines thats why he's acting weird. This is a big plot twist so bewrare : from what I can remember once the wake up the rubble falls on them killing the ML while he was saving the MC. more happens but I lowk forgot sorry ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Beriio has most of it right. A lot of people in the novel are from the real world. The ML was in love with MC but things happen and their relationship goes bad. They meet again in university and ML is still in love with MC but angry about the past. MC agress to go on a date with ML to try to clear things up. They go to the mall. MC sister and her friend and some other people who are friends with MC are there. The roof collaspes, all but MC die. ML protected him so he lived but in still crushed and dying. Time passes different in book world, so whild MC sees ML die he is suffering in the dark, looking at the face of the person he loves who died trying to save him. That's why he's sick, he's not dead he just suffering in pain and because of the time difference he is suffering and dying alone in the dark for years. When he remembers everything he is resentful of ML for trying to save him because if he hadn't done that the MC would have just fully be in the world of the novel.

We don't really get to know the girls at the safe house and we don't get to see ML crawl and beg. MC forgives him way to fast, they really rushed it at the end. They make it look like MC isn't upset at all with ML for bringing him back. When he gets him memories back MC is harsh way more harsh with ML in the novel and ML has to work to get him back.

The way that the actor and the other swimmer look like the MC, but not to the point where you would confuse the them with each other is amazing. Enough similarity that you can total see if, but enough difference that MC can shrug it off. The back story of why the actor looks even more like MC then the swimmer is kind of... eww though

I have spoiler.
ML is a virgin, kind of. When he said he doesn't drink it was because he mistook the other swimmer for MC. He started to have sex with the other swimmer but stopped cause he hurt him (due to his size) and when the swimmer asked him to stop so he didn't get fully inside and or get off. The actor was in Australia when when ML was training there and asked to meet him, ML agreed cause of how much he looked like MC. The actor dyed his hair to make himself look more like MC so ML would sleep with him.

Peter is mentally ill, likely from his illness enforced isolation. In the novel it seems much more clear that he also has something serious going on. It amazes me that everyone is all like 'he's so cute and innocent' He was straight up planning a murder. He stalked Wooyeon for nearly a year before finding a way to get close to him with the intention of killing him. He pivoted to ruining his life instead, but still...

Such accurate depictions of what a real Dom should be like. Brutal during play, but the after care is so good. The way he reminds him that he can use the safe word, even offering to change it if it's too hard to say. This is what a real Dom is like, they don't get off on abuse but on giving pain to those who really like it and want it. If the Sub isn't happy then the sex is no good. Your sub should be running up to you and excited to see you. Your sub should not be scared of you all the time or flinch when you reach for them outside of play. So nice to see Doming done right in one of these for a change and a sub who is actually into it. I have a feeling that that stupid Sunbae is not going to understand what a real BDSM dynamic should be and will try to do something to the MC without consent and actually hurt him.
Only a man would have taken this long to figure it out.
Yup we all knew from. The get go it was the friend
