I am guessing that when rikako died no one would claim to take care of her 5 yr old daughter and mic took upon himself to try and take care of her as promised. and since mic doesnt have any job there might be a time when they didnt have any means for living and things went south. the daughter must have caught some sickness and was too weak and malnutritioned to survive. mic might have stolen the money for meds but was too late. its like grave of the fireflies all over again *sobs*
