I feel like Doha is relying on yeonwoo for everything. What did he do during those months of no contact? He hasn’t studied at all on his own, he’s only doing this because of yeonwoo. It’s understandable that Doha is having difficulty adjusting to his life now that he’s no longer doing illegal things, but what I dislike is the dependency on yeonwoo. What does yeonwoo get from this relationship, sex? A whiny man child?

Yeonwoo had finally gotten used to life without him, when Doha suddenly returned. Yeonwoo might have been a bit lonely, but that wasn’t guaranteed to be permanent. He could have found a new man to date. Unlike Doha, yeonwoo has his life somewhat figured out and can function on his own.

I think Doha needs to find a direction in his life that doesn’t rely on yeonwoo. He needs to find a path he truly cares about. If that’s passing these exams then fine, but actually be dedicated. And what comes after that? No sir you are not getting a noble prize, but sure be a scientist though that field has high barrier to entry and required a lot more education than a middle school diploma.

Either way it’s unfair of Doha to act this way, and makes this relationship somewhat unsatisfying. At the beginning since he was doing dangerous illegal stuff, he was purposely avoiding yeonwoo to try and prevent a more serious relationship. But now it’s the complete opposite. He has nothing except his relationship with yeonwoo.

I can only hope that the author actually develops Dohas character. That’s the only way this relationship will be enjoyable to read again.
