I was still following the artist on ig and just had to come here and rant. I still hate this shitty story and after s1 ended those feelings have only intensified. I don’t give a fuck if Joohyuk is a bottom, this entire story annoys me and I disagree with essentially every single writing decision the author made. Even if they actually address the multiple times Joohyuk raped eunoh I don’t give a shit and will not read this

Oh and if that annoying British person is still reading this, I’ve unfortunately bought official chapters for this shitty story, so yes I have every right to complain

I read this manhwa when it first came out and was obsessed for months, but now even seeing the characters faces fills me with complete utter disgust. I won’t elaborate further if you’re nosy just stalk the past comments on my profile

Fuck arts manz fuck this random new woojin guy fuck Joohyuk

Oh and most of all fuck me cause I wasted all this time reading this absolute slop

Not the rapist apologists downvoting your based .
Why do they act oppressed for rightfully hating on a story that eroticizes rape

Reading this was such a rollercoaster. I won’t lie and say it was perfect, but I enjoyed the drama. It was messy, I hated seeing sunghyeon treated badly by the MC, but I enjoyed it.

The MC is really indecisive and a pushover. He’ll stand up to strangers that insult him, but once he forms even the most superficial of connection with someone, he becomes passive. Rather than having any core values, he follows the commands/advice of whichever love interest is talking to him at the moment. It’s as if he lacks object permanence; he is only aware of his feelings for each person when they’re directly in front of him. However, I’m patient and understand how the MCs past caused these behavior patterns. I only started to get annoyed with him around chapter 100. (I was done w that snake bitch jaemin)

The main thing that left me unsatisfied was the ending. I’m happy sunghyeon was the end game since he was my favorite, but I hate the unstable state their relationship is left in. With less than twenty chapters left, Daon hadn’t cut off the other two and the author was STILL giving us flashbacks of their college days. The story was Sunghyeon being incredibly kind, but Daon completely abandoning him when the other two assholes showed up. Makes sense considering Daons past with them, but after 100 chapters I was tired of seeing Sunghyeon get hurt.

Rather than a satisfying resolution, the story ended at an uncertain point in Daon and Sunghyeons relationship. Even though they live together and have mutual affection, Daon is too insecure and anxious to be in a stable relationship. Due to the ten year abusive dynamic with Jaemin, it will take time for Daon to heal.

It’s possible the relationship was left in this precarious state on purpose. Maybe the message is that trauma and traumatic relationships can be difficult to move on from, and even in a supportive environment you may be haunted by the past. What matters is focusing on the present, little by little moving further away from the past. Irregardless, I wish the author wrote some side stories. Even a single epilogue that takes place after a time skip. Just some inclination that they develop a more stable relationship, some sign that Daon has healed.

However, the thing that disappointed me most was Sunghyeon being a fan of Daon’s writing was never brought up again. Daons writing was something he didn’t share with the other characters, it was something he kept to himself. Sunghyeon being a long time fan would have been a great way to strengthen their connection, and make it seem more like Daon actually cares about Sunghyeon as an individual. With how the story ended, it feels like Sunghyeon is simply a person to make Daon feel less lonely, not that Daon truly loves him. it doesn’t feel like Daon is anywhere close to letting go of Jaemin and Soohyun. Sunghyeon and Daon having a unique connection through daons writing would have lessened my doubts. At least then, I’d know Sunghyeon was able to meet an author he loved and felt connected to. Unfortunately, the author didn’t write that. Daon writing felt like an afterthought, sunghyeon being a fan forgotten in the web of drama.

I can’t help but feel like Sunghyeon would have been happier if they hadn’t met. I want Daon to be happy away from his abusers, but Sunghyeon also deserves to be loved and respected. He is a literal angel, and a little crush he had on his coworker brought him into a decade long disastrous love triangle.

I hope he gets revenge against his family after being treated like shit his entire life, but unfortunately I doubt that’ll happen

I actually like these backstory chapters. Not only does it help us learn about the past relationship between Theo and the ex, but it helps us understand why Theo is reluctant to fully reject him. In the main story Theo has already broken up with the ex and is trying to completely distance himself, but he can’t completely let go of their shared past. It also helps contextualizes why Theo stayed in an abusive relationship for several years.

Of course I might be proven wrong in future chapters, but so far the author hasn’t romanticized him or his actions. I don’t think these chapters are meant to make us pity gunner.

Based on the three central characters, this manhwa seems like it will be about the cycle of abuse. The ex failed to break it, and repeated abusive patterns his father did. Dylan has a mental illness and lives through destructive cycles (I can’t remember Dylan’s backstory or family life sorry, I’d have to reread). Theo has a successful career, but still can’t achieve his personal goals due to his racist brother and his career faced issues due to the ex.

I think having the ex and theos back story is essential in understanding the current timeline. It will also make it more satisfying once Theo fully cuts him out of his life. Even if the future the ex can grow as a person, he will hopefully stay out of those life

I really hope gunjoon doesn’t get his heart broken

I feel like these chapters are really short

lol I didn’t realize there were officials. So of course I reread. Based on the scenes where we see multiple levels of the furniture store (their base), I’d estimate there’s about 30 people in this group. They’re all adult muscular men, so they definitely need to eat a lot of food to maintain their physiques and to have enough energy to defend their base and go on missions. So far we have only seen them eat canned food, but I wonder if that’s their only food source.
There hasn’t been much world building so far, but it seems society didn’t immediately breakdown after the outbreak. And seonho and heesu seemed to live w that guy in the cabin for a few years based on his dialogue, so it’s prob been multiple years since society (or at least the area of Korea this manhwa takes place) broke down. I think it’s safe to assume canned food is a limited resource, as there’ll be less made as an industrial level and probably less imported.
So does this camp really have enough can food stored up to support all these ppl, or is there another source of food they have?? Additionally do they exclusively drink bottled water, or do they have a more reliable supply (bottled water would also be a limited resource). Idek where these guys go to the bathroom, and they probably don’t shower, so their base probably smells RANCID. Won probably smells the worst I doubt that man has ever touched soap and probably doesn’t even know the concept of a bath

Obviously these details don’t matter too much, and aeju has done a good job establishing the characters which is def more important for a BL like this. The ML is prob part zombie which explains his eyes and his ability to control/sense the hordes outside.

Also if you don’t like toxic BL just don’t read this author. there’s plenty of sweet fluffy stories out there, no reason to read things you don’t like

So that sucked what a waste of time
Story had potential but clearly smut was the priority, and frankly it was all noncon and not interesting at all to read (I just skipped it). Maybe the novel is better but honestly I have no desire to read it.

Rest in peace dugo
