Gimme some good manga recommendations. Preferably, action-like manga.
Burning Effect

Does anyone else hate how in BL Mc’s and ML’s are always introverted, don’t talk, hang out with anybody, and always hate conversing w/people? They may have a couple of friends, but they don’t party, do fun enjoyable stuff together, or just do dumb shit. If they do hang out, it’s more of a nuisance for them or it’s a plot point. They’re never ride or die for their friends, have friends they love communicating with, and they don’t have much of a life outside of the MC/ML. Like, I read fiction for a different perspective on others lives, not a reflection of my own. (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸
Can Authors and ppl stop calling mf’s who enjoy getting dicked down by a man, or vice versa, straight? Like dude, you’re catching feelings for another man and yall end up in a relationship. THEY ARE NOT STRAIGHT!!! THERES NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING BISEXUAL!!! OMFG
It does, I doubt sexuality works like that. You can’t be someone who’s exclusively dated/been attracted to women in the past without needing a strong emotional connection to be partners and all of a sudden have that unintentional boundary exist only for men, so much so you’re “only attracted to one guy”. Like cmon, they never show interest in men at all, not physically, romantically, or sexually. It’s just Virgin Mary bs n’ they’re still interested in men at the end of the day if they’re dating one, no more deniability.
Hm, well I think it's like this. If you're straight you're attracted to female biology, and even if you think men are attractive you're not necessarily attracted to them, like acknowledging someone's beauty but not desiring it. Whereas if you suddenly feel an attraction to one particular man not simply because of appearance but other factors as well, you are attracted to them and actually spawn a desire. And while it might open the possibility of you being bi, if you still don't feel attracted to other men and just the one, I don't see how that would count. Since being bi is being attracted to both genders no? So I guess straight in theory but not in practice maybe?
But that’s literally just an excuse to not call yourself bisexual and reinforces the harmful idea that you can turn out lesbians, gays, and straight ppl. N’ that they just have to find the “one”. You would obviously just have a preference for certain men that not a lot of men fall into, therefore, you’re still attracted to men. A lesbian who goes out their way to date a man isn’t a lesbian. ( ̄へ ̄)
Sexuality is fluid for a lot of people and if someone who initially thought they identified as “gay” but then found someone outside of that boundary attractive, they will acknowledge that they might not be gay and perhaps bisexual or demisexual etc. Thats the fluid nature of sexuality that exists outside of het space
It’s not biphobia, it’s not our place to label someone or enforce that someone use a label we deem appropriate. I myself can be label as bi or pan based on my attraction (I’ve gone by both in the past) yet I rather not have that label. I’ve even taken multiple courses on these topics in college, it’s a bit ignorant to make these assumptions and be so exacting. Liking it up the ass doesn’t equal gay and just being able to sleep with only 1 guy doesn’t always mean u like men. It can be that it’s just this person. It is up to the person themselves to figure out their own feelings and label themselves as whatever they want. However, u do have a point that in many bl’s where they seem to be scared of labels except straight or gay.
Bl is prominently made by women, for women, they tend to fetishize turning out straight men and still make them identify as straight, that’s apart of the fetish. You’re also forgetting these are 2-dimensional characters whose thought process doesn’t expand beyond what’s being displayed, it’s the authors job to properly represent sexuality and not fetishize/misrepresent it. You like engaging with men sexually, romantically and you find them physically attractive? YOU'RE NOT STRAIGHT, it doesn’t matter if it’s one dude. N’ I never said anal is gay, don’t misconstrue my words, I said “if you enjoy getting dicked down by men or vice versa you’re not straight”. Pleasure seeking and bi-curiosity aren’t related to what I’m talking about.#-.-)
N’ that’s bc they weren’t sure of their sexuality or were in denial of it. Lesbians and gays still have that underlying feeling of something “being off” whilst being in active relationships, that’s why they may hide their sexuality or leave their relationship. Those who don’t realize who they are until later in life are ppl who’ve never been exposed to queer media, in denial about their sexuality, or unknowingly force themselves to assimilate amongst other heterosexuals. BL has the common tendency to go along the “Virgin Mary” trope and LOVE giving the male lead the MC’s first in everything. They like treating sexuality like a reward rather than something existing outside of the ML bc 9/10, it’s written by a straight woman. I’m already well educated, it seems you need to do better research.
Sexuality isn’t fluid for everyone. There are straight men who’ve never engaged in sexual relations with men bc they don’t feel comfortable doing so, there’s lesbians who don’t like engaging with men PERIOD, and there’s gay men who’ve only ever had eyes for other men. Just bc it’s fluid for you doesn’t mean it’s like that for everyone else. I’m someone who’s sexuality has changed over the years and I’m finally starting to understand myself, but I’m not gonna sit here and say “you can turn out straights, lesbians, and gays if you tried bc sexuality is fluid”, bc it’s not true and u just can’t. It’s a harmful rhetoric.
About the virgin aspect, I don't see why that's really a problem. If someone has been straight all their life, and perhaps even later on realize they're bi, they're obviously not going to have had experience with those types of things. And honestly it is endearing when your partner gives you their first everything because you feel as if you've shared something special together. That applies to both parties in the relationship, and since these are predominantly set in Asian cultures that value being conservative it's not really a surprise that they're virgins. ╮(^▽^)╭
Somebody recommend me a semi-dark action manga, like if JJK was a seinen. I wanna see a morally ambiguous or non stereotypical MC, thanks!

Does tattoos hurt? And if your someone with a low pain tolerance, was is bearable for you? I want a big back tattoo.
Yes tattoos hurt. The pain varies depending on the area. Generally everywhere where the skin is thin and bone is close it’ll hurt like hell. Getting tattooed on the ribs can make it hard to breathe sometimes from the pain and vibrations of the gun. As for back tattoos the spine is awful to sit through. My badass friend almost broke my hand when she got her spine tattooed. I’m not trying to frighten you out of it, but it’s just not something pleasant and you need to test the waters before committing to a big project like your whole back. Talk to an artist and maybe get a small trial tattoo to see if it’ll be too much for you.
Ok, thanks for your input.(๑•ㅂ•)و✧
