His past is so traumatic. I now kind of get it why he doesn't show affection or maybe don't know the concept of it ( you can see at the beginning how he kissed Dan, it was rough for dan but was the first touch of affection for joo which he was unaware of). But that still doesn’t excuses his mistreatment towards dan. Like he should know better how poverty works and why dan needs money. From the beginning till few chapters back he treats dan as a tool bought with money not as a human. But his other side was shown too where he knows the pain of hunger (He always makes sure to feed dan well.) Maybe he needs a bit of push to break the ice build inside him. But my poor Danny is also not in a state to mend others where he himself is broken and mentally vulnerable ┗( T﹏T )┛
