I mean Claude isn’t a saint either. We know Claude’s story; why was he so cruel and villainous, how he blamed Athy for Diana’s death.
I mean first Athy died thinking “she was never loved”
Because of her emotional trauma she was quiet and had very low self esteem. (It’s obvious first Ijekiel also liked her but she couldn’t see it)
He healed with Athy in this lifetime because this Athy wasn’t a child.
Anastacius wasn’t always bad either, we can see it clearly in the flashbacks. And recently (it’s a little change but u can see it) he acts warmer towards his daughter.
“It is naive to think that he will welcome you with open arms just because you’re family.“
Anastacius’ has reasons, that doesn’t justify his acts but if we all learned to love Claude, we can also give him at least little more time to redeem himself.
I think he will have a redemption arc and i’m looking forward to how he will end up at the end of his story.
Great story needs a great villain.
