This version actually kinda portray the family perfectly like in the novel. Apparently, in the novel the mother didn't have that much of a role cuz it was mainly focused on the brother more. And the brother had suffered a lot- Well, kinda deserved. He was in dept, got beaten up by thugs, and died cuz of truck-kun. (AKA a white truck incident) While the mother just went crazy and just disappeared. She never appeared again. But in the last 2 chapters of the novel it was mentioned that a body of a woman was found on a lake and she has the same contact information of the MC's mother. So yh. They kinda didn't deserve all that suffering cuz i think it's best if they just continued living The way those 2 died was just random ngl.

I really don't want to spoil much cuz i'm pretty sure that in this version the will just change the whole thing again But in the original novel the MC got framed by the 2nd ML (New Main Lead.) For the revenge to happen they need the purple bitch to act like the victim and the 2nd ML was supposed to act like the witness. Anyway, here are some new spoilers:
• MC's Mom & Brother dies. (Literally so random )
• Revenge lasted for about 64 chapters in the novel. (The novel has 126 Chapters = Completed.)
• MC will end up with the cheating ML. (Dw it's worth it. Tho a cheater is a cheater so. )
• Lots of revelations, breakdowns, and drama. (Well cuz duh.)
• Lastly, it ended with the MC and ML getting married and having 2 kids. (Again, pretty random. But cute.)

Hello I don't think this manhwa has a novel, it's more likely a coincidence when the author came up with same story as the one you're describing. The ml didn't cheat at all, it's all misunderstanding (=・ω・=)
I have read the raw directly at webtoon korean, and it's completely different. If the author change the concept of the novel the author of the novel would literally sue the manhwa author, that's how it works. People sometimes came up with the same concept at a coincidence, I think you got it wrong
I did say it before that this version's author already bought the novel. So they have the right to change the whole thing. The old author already completed the original novel. And this new author is just changing it.
