As for the story, I think the buildup was great! There’s a subplot for romance but it didn’t disrupt the flow; it happened naturally and not as irritating as some works I’ve read.

The characters’ main focus is getting stronger, working on themselves, their principles, occasional rival fights, helping each other, and enjoying their time. I like the bonds with his friends and his rivals (≧∀≦). I don’t mind this brotherly bond at all. The world building is good, too. There might be some parts that may be irksome but the opposite rings true. Do give it a read, yeah . ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

I actually thought it’d be similar to the one I’ve read before.

The wedding theme reminded me of that manga I read where one is a wedding planner and the other is a funeral director. They met in one of the weddings planned by uke.

What I felt at that time:

I think it’s too much… I don’t think he had done anything to warrant that kind of punishment. If he had done something detestable, I might have cheered, however, MC’s reasoning as revenge for Soso, the plum blossom guy might have pulled his punches (basically for all his opponents at that point I think) but he did treat Soso as a fighter.

In my head, I thought MC aimed down there because it’s the most likely to cause damage despite their huge power gap. I didn’t think it would cause one of them to be maimed. Idk that part didn’t warrant any joy from me; I was actually hoping he’d still get to heal. But who knows, it may or may not be deserved when we know about future events.

With the continuous chain of accidents.. even I would get suspicious at one point. Something’s off about the beta, and the spoiler a commenter said confirmed it.

My initial thoughts on this were wrong. Pleasantly surprised though. And ah, the look with his hair down, it kind of reminded me of black-haired howl’s haircut. Quite handsome
