What animated villain was justifiable for their actions?
Shere khan was a evil lawful type of justice but only when he was protecting the jungle. It’s messed up to try to kill a kid but you have to understand in the movie, humans have been pillaging the jungle for awhile he knew that one day Mowgli will end up like one of them.

Maleficent... Bro her backstory is so heartbreaking literally had her heart taken along with her wings. Then her love later treats her like a monster and locks her is a metal net. I know in that version she wasn't animated but she was an animation first, with a backstory of tears and backstabbing.
