I liked how everybody was doubting Mi-ok and tried to give a reason to why she did that (aka theorising she's a confused WLW) but nah girlie gave the stupidest reason for being a homophobe Σ( ̄□ ̄||)
I get it, different cultures, neglect and shit. But honestly, why is she invalidating their relationship and somehow connected it to her trauma. What does being neglected has to do with the chief of the village being gay??
Her being unloved by her parents and thought she was out of place in her circle of friends, she thought being gay would estrange kwon too from their village and will be condemned once the people find out, it's a stupid reason because why would a teenager protect someone that is double her age right?? But you need to understand her feelings too
Although I find her character and backstory interesting, I can't seem to like her. She reminds me of typical tsundere from poorly written shoujo romances with her sudden crush on Hajin just feels out of nowhere. One compliment from him, and she's head over heels. I don't mind romance in action-heavy stories, but it bothers me when it's poorly executed. The narrative pushes the idea that Hajin and Nayun are endgame, yet he seems to have far more chemistry with Rachel than with Nayun.
What I'd really like to see is more focus on the dynamic between Yeonha and Jonghak
You're joking.
