bro was cooking JK there for a moment. but who would've guessed! jaekyung is still stupid and has pebbles for a brain, kim dan just got diagnosed with insomnia and basically severe alcoholism, but yeah lets fuck. "can we really let it go on like this" no, its not WE, its YOU.
i havent read any yuri/wlw books yet but id rlly like recommendations! only thing i dont want is like rape fetishes and/or anything similar to Citrus
bitch soft to his meemaw and not treating him like a living sex toy cockwarmer 24/7. cant believe i genuinely just read "why i oughta" and it wasnt said ironically. he has to have the brain the size of a chicken because how the fuck does he fail to not only read a room but respect boundaries.
JK treats kim dan like *actually* caring about him like a human being is such a hard job. Heesung wasnt kidding when he said jaekyung doesnt deserve kim dan.

already watched the anime BUT I NEED MORE!
Truthfully, this story continues and continues to get on my nerves. So many problems with the writing I can't even completely cover it all because it JUST. KEEPS. GOING.
For one, you can't act like Jaekyung is surprised by the drinking habits. You made this suspense of Dan having smoking and drinking problems like it was unthinkable to everyone, but you break that illusion when the person who is supposed to be shocked (aka Jaekyung) has drunk himself into a drunken stupor too! It would have been more impactful if you had Jaekyung, who never drinks or smokes, see Dan having issues with it. Something unthinkable and foreign to Jaekyung. You know, instead of this stupid ass subplot of Jaekyung also becoming a drunk just because Dan left and he "can't function without him." Ruined what little you already built.
Secondly, this entire thing is actually garbage. How are you going to continuously reward a rapist and abuser. Him getting a tie and half-losing a match isn't punishment. Everybody he doesn't care about leaving his gym isn't punishment. His reputation hitting the gutter and trying to be mediated isn't punishment. Dan scolding and refusing advancements isn't punishment. Making him self-reflect isn't punishment. You need to humiliate him. Make him lose everything. Make him surround by people who have no respect for him. Instead, he's rewarded with gym members'. respect. With Dan's love. With his grandmother's appreciation. With good people surrounding him. I fucking hate this shit. Then you have him "saving" Dan from drowning like he's some kind of saint. Are you kidding me? Like that's going to fix anything. Like it's any kind of good deed. Like pity and the bare minimum consideration does anything? Like you're doing anything by going against every wish of Dan's just because it's "better for his health." Like you actually care. When you have hidden intention. I can't stand this repeat imbalance in reward/punishment this stupid ass story has for plot.
Speaking of Dan's sleep walking, what kind of dumb side plot is that? I can't think of a single thing that adds to the story. When you have someone dealing with mental health/physical problems, you have to stick with it! It completely undermines the mental health issues when you introduce something entirely different and, honestly, LIFE-THREATENING. This isn't something small just to have as a side-plot. This is a main plot kind of situation. You dont just develop this. Dan never showed any sign of having sleep problems, especially not to this degree, so this sudden side plot is completely irrelevant. It doesn't add anything! Just stick to what you already have!
ALSO, if you're going to act like Dan's health is in the gutters, SHOW IT. You can't say something like he's going to slowly kill himself and have me believe it if you're not going to SHOW ME. Have him actually losing weight. Make him look terrible. Make him unable to stomach food. Unable to open his eyes. Unable to properly clean himself. Unable to find the energy for anything. Constantly sad. Stressed out. ANYTHING OTHER THAN HIS STUPID PITY PARTY. I don't feel bad for him when his only thing is helping a woman who doesn't want to be helped. I want to see actual mental and physical health problems. Make him physically affected by Jaekyung's influence. Hypersexuality, hyposexuality. Shame, regret, hope? Idfk, ANYTHING. The story just shows that he's making himself suffer for no reason. He's lonely, I get that. But it's more than lonely. It feels like it undermines all the pain Jaekyung did to him when all he sums it up to is, "I'm lonely."
Speaking of, you know where this shit is headed and it's so annoying, I could roll my eyes. Jaekyung is going to fix his loneliness. Dumb ass solution for a dumb ass problem. Jaekyung is going to see the reality of the situation, start to feel bad, see Dan for who he truly is, change as a person, realize his feelings, maybe apologize. Then Dan might grow to give Jaekyung another chance, trust him again. UGHHHHHHH It's so disrespectful. Disgusting. I hate it all.
You've seen this exact plot, exact dialogue, same situation, same problems and solutions, same characters. It's the most cliche, bullshit story I've ever read. The sex isn't interesting, AT ALL. You know, one of the few things I would ever stick with a yaoi this long. You know why?? BECAUSE IT'S DISGUSTING.
The sex is clearly Dan trying to get through with it, but you write and draw it like it's supposed to be hot. Like I enjoy watching this douchebag get his way AGAIN? It's not even in an interesting way. There are other stories that can do it right. Where it's twisted. One guy SEES it as attractive, but it's clearly torture for the other guy. It's all about narrative. But this sex is written just to be sex. It didn't need to be 2 chapters long. It didn't add anything to the story. It's there just to exist. Just because they wanted it to exist. You could skip it and it would actually do MORE for the story. From Dan agreeing to the sex and then after where it cuts to Dan telling Jaekyung it's just work for him. It hits harder that way because after seeing the sex scene that transpired, I DON'T BELIEVE HIM. He hid away behind a pillow the whole time, not wanting to show his face. It's a shy act, it doesn't come across as dismissive, which Dan is TRYING to do. The writer is trying to write him like he's used to this, like it isn't personal to him, just work. But it doesn't come across right for a reason. HE'S HIDING. He should've just been limp, wanting to get it over with. He's USED to this, he knows how to get Jaekyung to do it quick. Instead, he shy, or squirmy, not letting Jaekyung do whatever, telling Jaekyung what to do because, CLEARLY, that has worked in his favor before.
UGHHH!
I can't believe I'm actually this angry, but God dammit, I don't care. I can't believe it's been years of this and nothing has changed.

1. the author (Koogi) said she didn't want it romanticized in a Wired.it article.
2. it's about stockholm syndrome.
3. Koogi quite literally states the meaning of the story in the final Q&A
i dont want to go into a whole essay about why it should be removed but:
The two main characters of Killing Stalking have mental illness representation, which plays a key part in the series. Yoon Bum struggles with hypersexuality, Stockholm syndrome, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), and derealization. Sangwoo is a sociopath/has Anti-Social Personality Disorder (ASPD) and a narcissist.
Moving onto the romanticization and glorification of the relationship between Sangwoo and Yoon Bum, and how the reasoning behind their relationship is foreshadowed. Sangwoo says in one of the last chapters that he should’ve killed Yoon Bum from the start and he regrets not doing so. The reason Sangwoo kept Yoon Bum alive is for sexual pleasure and the fact that Yoon Bum resembled Sangwoo’s mother, Eunseo. This is foreshadowed multiple times within the series.
we get it you like romanticizing abuse and rape, lets not water it down to toxic yaoi. It shouldn't be surprising that people hate an unlikable character. Let alone on a manhwa that started out from sexual coercion, Jaekyung practically bribing Kim Dan, which is rape btw. just because its fiction doesn't mean its something that should be overlooked. rape and abuse are things people have ACTUALLY gone through and are often silenced for.
