I'm so sad for everyone, and surprisingly this includes Lize. The more I read the more I realize she doesn't have any kind of will of her own. She just is a puppet for the author and when those strings get cut she won't know how to even live anymore. That isn't to say I know the ending, but the route this is taking with Lize's sort of dazed behavior makes me wonder how much is her own actions and thoughts and how much is the author's influence to get rid of Edith. I just want everyone to get along and be happy, but that doesn't make for a good story.

Listen, I get everyone is surprised by the fact that the emperor can't fight, but like, didn't we ALL see the cover? The EMPRESS is carrying the EMPEROR not the other way around. The baddy and her soft-boi male wife who only wants her to be safe. Call him what you want, but it was already heavily implied by the lack of action he takes and the ease of which is emotions are swayed and manipulated for the sake of other people.
