I wanna start this off by saying this arc begins at chapter 191 in the novel, so if you want a better understanding and some more detail, I would suggest reading a bit of the novel.

Okay so Tang Gunak is the current head of the Tang family. In this arc, we get a glimpse of Tang Bo, and we see Chung Myung expressing some more emotion. I’m really bad at explaining so I’ll cut it short, but what happens is Chung Myung is trying to survive Tang Gunak’s 10 attacks and wins, but one of the sons (who’s name I forgot but I think he’s the eldest son) throws a surprise attack at Chung Myung. Because of this, the Tang family treat him well and offer him lots of alcohol and food to make up for it. This is also where Tang Soso shows up, who wants to Marry Chung Myung so she could gain some freedom for herself (She isn’t in love with him), who then joins the Mount Hua sect because of Yu Iseol. Tang Gunak and Chung Myung become friends that help each other. After that, some old guy from the Tang family tries to poison him before a spar, so he pretends to be sick and sends Yu Iseol up to fight, and she wins. This fight is also what inspires Tang Soso to join the Mount Hua sect.

Btw the son that threw the surprise dagger was punished. If memory serves me right, I think his position as the next head of the family was taken.
