I can’t see how people think Song-rik is in the right. This guy the entire friendship has been undermining Jinhyeongs trauma by saying, “welp my life is worse”. I get his life is really bad but to go from helping Jinhyeong get away from his fathers grip to pressuring him into cutting off his family and running away with him is totally unrealistic and crazy??? the super rich family with one flick could have Song-rik expelled??? I get he’s super stressed but the main reason for him jumping Jinhyeong with the prospect of running away is because of basically class insecurity that Jinhyeong has shown to not look down on Song-rik already.
And his reaction to Jinhyeong very warranted break down (which i can see how it would be a betrayal in his eyes) due to stress and conflicting feelings is that he betrays Jinhyeong by giving bullies fuel to make his life hell…Song-rik wasn’t good for Jinhyeong he slowly started to emulate Jinhyeongs father by laying out expectations for him and expected him to follow he started to control Jinhyeong and his thoughts about his family and wants. So yeah i don’t think this friendship would have worked at all and it’s sad how they fell out but im happy they did because it would’ve gotten worse and Jinhyeong would probably be breaking their back for Song-rik.
(sorry for grammar mistakes i’m like half awake)

I looked at the raws and it seems like the uke is the gangster and he’s a freak like freaky and maybe is obsessed with the seme, I may have gotten that wrong

So..like…

.
It’s more so the seme is obsessed with the uke. Fantasizes abt him and all.
This creepy creature or whatever gives the seme a pair of underwear. Then the seme bumps into the uke in the train and they like..link up? Uke perpetually feels like there’s a dick up his ass and seme perpetually feels like he’s inside someone. It

please let blondie be the male lead. No cheating plot (Pleasee). minimal back in forth switching with blondie and ex (mostly blondie). Let blondie be possessive but not confinement possessive. No threesomes. No plot with blondie. (please)
Amen

Also i really hope they don’t treat drug addicts as these terrible criminals and ignore the suffering and exploitation they endure due to addiction. I already don’t like the stance that they must be punished harshly to change (as if rehab doesn’t exist and helps more +they aren’t criminals but victims). Though, I know its Korea where drug use is very taboo and demonized, but i hope the author decides to have a more nuanced take on this.
I think my only pet peeve for this story is that the Gods wear less clothes than the servants and The literal main God is barefoot…Like what…aren’t you rich??
Still looking forward for more updates thoughhh
Honey, it’s a cultural thing
When it comes to clothes that royals wear within a culture, a couple things are taken into consideration; climate, resources and the message.
Here they live in a warm climate, but clearly have an abundance of natural resources, so instead of layering on furs and cottons they show this through intensive detailing work like embroidery, and precious gems.
Additionally, a lack of footwear sends a message, like "I do not have to walk for myself". We see the Sha are largely transported via litters (palanquins without covers) and therefore aren't expected to use their feet outside. This is similar to how in East Asian cultures, fair skin was established as a sign of status because it meant you could afford to stay inside all day as you weren't a labourer.
My apologies for the long reply, but this is actually a really interesting topic. If you look at what British royals wear you can see it's all made of materials from their various overseas territories because they were bragging about their empire!
Hoe are you slow ??
not actually considering this seems to be inspired by egypt under roman rule and i wouldn’t really care if it was servants but royals absolutely had longer clothes and layers because they were rich. I can ignore the no shoes though. But it’s whatever cause it’s fiction and it’s like a stereotypically thing in fiction to have your Egyptians in this clothing so it doesn’t really matter just a personal pet peeve!
I like long replies so need to apologize! the years and stuff of the story confuse me because the westerners have like a British empire look and the people we see look like Egypt under roman rule and they were quite conservative. but i don’t expect authors to research every little thing for their fantasy comic. But i’m really into fashion so to see them go the easy way out of beautiful North African/Middle eastern traditional fashion peeves me a little. I can get over it though but always in the back of my mind I’m thinking, “There’s barely any trees how do these people not have any skin protection. It’s not like they live in a tropical area??” but thats cause i’m a nerd lol
No, and I don’t know you so don’t reply to me if you’re going to insult me for a personal pet peeve of mine. Thank youuu!!!
