Okay basic rundown. MC was adopted, his younger brother might be too. Because we see his younger brother at the institution. But also his younger brother might be biologically the parents' kid. Maybe the parents were scientists who helped with research. But I think they are both adopted.
From MCs perspective, his vampirism is what killed their parents and robbed his little brother of a chance at a normal life with a normal childhood. MC is vampiristic because of experiments done on him at the fake orphanage/ testing facility. MC has also lost some of his memories, specifical around when he met the meteoroid alien dude. When he met the alien dude, the alien changed his body which probably also helped give him the vampirism traits. The alien also views MC as a "mother" to continue the alien's immortal life of create the alien's offspring. Hense why ML's blood and sex with ML is able to "satiate" MC more than anyone else.
Based on things we've seen of the past, I think ML / the little brother also has something to do with this whole alien, MC being a "mother" type thing. But I don't think ML knows about any of this either. ML just loves MC and wants to protect him.
Unfortunately like in most of these series, ML wants to protect and love MC and MC wants to help provide because he is feeling useless rn. So due to lack of communication both are trying to help the other and are in fact hurting eachother which is creating a perfect set up for a toxic romance. MC also blames this sexual situation on his vampirism and the times he gets uncontrollable sexual urges. He doesn't think ML loves him like that, cuz to MC they are "brothers".
Also going on. ML joined the fighting force because the People behind the fighting force probably owned the orphanage that experimented of MC and probably ML too. So ML joined to get higher up in command to destroy the records of MC's experiments and keep MC's vampirism a secret to protect MC. The guy behind this fighting force has a mysterious identity that hasn't been revealed. But he probably has some mind control powers because it was mentioned that a lot of people surround fighting force boss as if it was some kind of religion. I also wouldn't be surprised if fighting force boss is somehow related to the alien mentioned above. If not being the alien himself.
So ya. Toxic romance. Alien plot. Political plot. ML trying to bury MC's past and hide his vampirism. MC trying to give ML the family experience that MC believes he robbed from ML when MC somehow "killed their parents".

Sorry there were some typos. I'm on my phone and fat fingers. In the alien paragraph, I talked about ML satiating MC. That sentence was meant to be put in the next paragraph when I tried to explain that I think the experiments ML went through at the orphanage (if ML did go through experiments) somehow connect him to MC and the alien's situation.
Also in the second paragraph. We do not know if the eggs implanted in ML are to give birth to more alien dudes or to somehow help the current alien keep his immortality.
