That panel with The Creation of Adam could have been so beautiful, but aside from being in low resolution, I'm pretty sure it is a fresco painting; Imagine a whole "page" within the sistine chapel, with very transitional panels of the brother's eyes beholding the creation of man and perhaps reflecting about himself with more room. It didn't need to be literal, just a mental image.
