Agree that the dad should be willing to listen to and be there for his child..... but I feel that we have to remember that money is tight for the family, the dad doesn't seemingly earn much from fishing, and at this point, it isn't a good fishing season. The dad isn't bad nor is he good, he's a human dealing with unexpected financial burdens (medical expenses im assuming and being a sole breadwinner) and still trying to make money for his children. Not trying to defend how he made MC feel worthless though and I'm glad he's beginning to change.

I'm starting to get this story a bit more and my hot take (????) is that neither karel or sasya are perfect people and neither are more worse/more deserving of contempt than the other... they both suffer from their own issues and hurt eachother and they'll hopefully (?????) find healing
