I stopped reading this story for a while, came back to it, and I can't remember anything from the plot. Just goes to show how lacking it is. The beginning was fine, probably why I started reading to begin with and even gave it a good rating, but man, it's just the same old 'they can't fucking talk'. What the ML did really triggered something in me... I've had relationships just like that. A partner who doesn't trust you, who always sees the worst in you, who's possessive and would rather destroy than let go, or put even an ounce of trust in you. Possessiveness only really looks hot and cute in fiction, but the reality of it is incredibly grim, isolating, and even potentially deadly.
