Braindead authors are really trying to put together as many cliches of the worst MLs as possible, always the same slop.
This ML is absolute pure garbage, but when compared to other garbage MLs in other stories, the rapey comments, the behavior, they're so similar to one another that I keep forgetting what I'm reading cause it's all the freaking same. If you want to perpetuate toxic relationships that are supposed to be 'hot' and 'thrilling', at least be a bit more original.

Okay, I love this story so much, the ML has such black cat energy while the MC is a golden retriever sunshine and the way he learns but also genuinely cherishes the ML is TOO ADORABLE!! The pats on the head and how he encourages him genuinely and not just as part of the 'lessons', awww.
Also, what the ML is going through reminds me a lot of Metal Family. My heart breaks for what he has to endure, he deserves so much better and the MC is absolutely right for him... They're absolute opposites but in the best way possible
Geon's personality is top notch, what do they all mean 'bad personality', THE FUCK?! Usually, MCs are super cringe and kinda weird, but Geon is that power bottom with an open, honest heart, good communication skills and is NOT a coward, THIS IS BY DEFINITION AN AMAZING PERSONALITY
Hyunsun's encouragement really moved me, as someone who also left school for a while and is still trying to figure out my life and getting back into school and all. I have a passion, I know what I love, but it's something not lucrative. His words and perspective truly made me go - wow, this is an interesting angle to look at things from. All along I thought I was a coward myself for doing what I love while escaping from school, career building activities, reality, just like the young guy, but maybe following the societal scheme of a somewhat productive life in capitalist systems isn't as easy, too. You give up a lot. Yourself, your true passions. Your love for living and doing what you love.
This is my first time ever feeling that seen in BL, but also being very touched by it. What a great story overall, and very real (and relatable) characters, too.
Also, I love how Hyunsun stopped when the old geezer fell asleep, PLS MORE MOMENTS LIKE THIS IN BL. They're so adorable and the age gap isn't too bad, considering H is 24 at least. The prefrontal cortex still needs a bit of cooking at that age, but it's okay, there's no real power gap or anything in this dynamic.

I just tried reading and I hardly could stand reading till chapter 10 due to the writing being actual garbage. (And I mean the story flow itself as well as character logic and behavior. All of it is random and lacklusterly done. WTF. It turned into a chore to read within such a short time.)
I know side couples can often be much better but I kinda have my doubts since the writing is generally badly done here. But I would still like to check out the side couple regardless. Can you give me pointers where I should jump in? I don't want to sift through the debris. :')

Girl, I get you, it's absolute garbage and I HATE both the main characters.
The side couple story starts in chapter 19, but you'll have to skip the main couple from time to time cause it's still sprinkled in.
What I like about the side couple is the angst and more of the complexity of the characters, their dynamic seems more realistic, adult, and just relatable to an extent. Both of them have issues opening up, one of them has issues with feeling the need to fill his inner void with meaningless sex (and self sabotage), and trigger warning, there's child SA involved in the backstory.

I am a sucker for those kinds of stories, so I'll definitely look at their story.
I just finished reading a similar sounding story, aslo realistic but about mental issues more than anything and showing how the main characters settle with their life troubles. It's called Gift by Ichinose Yuma, I VERY much recommend this one. The writing has it's tiny hickup moments in some parts (kinda feeling jump cut-ish at times) but it's a well written story, definitely a heavy theme written for adult audiences to appreciate - same trigger warning applies btw. And it does an amazing job portraying the characters' struggle.

ML manchild literally had a temper tantrum cause it's oh so difficult for him not to abuse 'out of love'.... Manipulation 101, some of you will see it as 'ah he must love him cause he's so honest and tells him to run away before his love ruins MC'. Well I see it as a pity party of a sick man with fucked up attachment style. 'Look at me ,how I'm suffering MC. I treat you like shit all the time, but no, in reality, I'm the victim'. This story, yet again, portrays an abuser perfectly.
Telling someone you'd love to break their limbs and keep them in a basement is not the vibe, it's not even hot lmao
I'd be convinced the ML has some sort of love or compassion for MC only if he forces him to leave his obsessive ass. If he lets MC stay, I know dude is utter trash.
