this manga's amazing so far
the characters and their conflict feel so real -- instead of a momentary misunderstanding that causes some drama (like a lot of other bl/shoujo plots), the issues between the characters stem from their own flaws and insecurities
the author has always been amazing at creating deeper, complex characters and storylines and i think it really shines in this piece:
she doesn't rely on more unique, complicated situations/relationships to make this story's characters more complex, rather, in a realistic/common setting, you just feel how human the characters are
interesting that people are suggesting the story's moving in a supernatural direction and that the mc might be a vampire? i dont really think that's the case here (or at least i hope not)
the story kinda reminds me of black swan, ** movie spoiler alert(?) in this mini paragraph ** in the sense that the supernatural/ body horror within the film aren't necessarily reality but projections of the mc's psyche
the mc here seems to be coping in a similar manner against similar suffocating, overbearing households and sexual abuse
i think the house is poisoning/drugging the children to keep them sick, which makes yoshie's comments/face when she hopes the mc gets well to be really sickening (( she's a likable character otherwise, but that underlining sadistic manipulation is really crazy but also great storytelling -- if what i said reveals to be true ofc
the mc offers up his body to the master and shows deep affection and desire for the master because the master has already distorted the mc's sense of desire, normality and reality by laying his hands on the boy at such a young age
the mc doesn't understand what's going on and i don't either lmao
(( another thought, while i really like the classmate, the parallels between his story and this one, along with the fact that the classmate plays the younger brother's role is really striking but also troubling
i love how geumsun shows concern over 704 first ha -- the boy can't hide his love
while it can be frustrating when characters are secretive or manipulative, that's what makes the characters and story interesting so ((not condoning the behavior but as a work of fiction it's kinda necessary (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜
also all of the characters can get it
i noticed this the first time i read it and wanted to comment, but i usually avoid commenting
but this manga and the mangaka deserves all the compliments (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
i love how the mangaka showed the thoughts vs. speech of the uke when they were having sex. the uke wanted more but sometimes would say the opposite, or even simply had two feelings at once: desiring more but also feeling a little anxious, but overall, he was excited for the experience with his partner. i think it's a very realistic portrayal and it prevents any "rape" accusations -- ie. when the uke says no but the seme says your (uke's) body is feeling good or saying yes (which sorta happens a little in this story but it works)
(( i put quotation marks around rape because people argue about whether the situation above counts as rape or not -- i mean technically speaking, by definition, it would be rape, but then, many stories like to play with the idea that the ukes as just "embarrassed" or "not honest" ))
anyway, i'm not sure if that all made sense but i agree with everyone who's saying it leaves you wanting more but also completely satisfied, 'cause honestly, the pacing was pretty perfect -- what a masterpiece (▰˘◡˘▰)
everyone's talking about the new character but
TSUGUMI BASICALLY SAID HE WANTS TO MARRY MEGUMI RIGHT AWAY
(while picking his nose)
+ their casual home daate was soo cute TT
