Based off a novel and yes, there is romance. Lin Fan got married in the end for real. I just skimmed through the mtl of the novel so I can't really say for sure if the harem is unbearable but it's there. Not sure if the manuha will stay loyal to the novel but if it does, then there will be romance.

He married to one women in the end but the novel is also tagged as harem so I'm assuming there's other girls that will show up in a 'romantic-ish' way. Take my words with a grain of salt because I'm not actually sure if there's a proper harem in the novel and I'm just basing it off on the tag but I can say for sure he married a woman at the end.

Plot can be confusing at the start but damn. Once it starts to touch on the topics of morality and past of Ling Chen and Ye Zimu and their relationship, that's when it gets good. Never was a fan of action manhwas but this one has so many emotion and depth to it and didn't feel like brainless fights just for the sake of it.

Okay seriously. Hansoo and the uncle felt like characters that are put there just to make the ending how it is. They both had no real depth that made me care for them. The story centers around small master and big master more. The ending seems predetermined from the very beginning and the story seemed to just need hansoo and that uncle to push it to happen. It doesn't really expand on their character much all it's giving me is daddy issue girl and idiot shitty husband. The story is tragic but I understand why it has to be that way although it really doesn't make me feel better, I cried too much on the ending than necessary.
sniff sniff I wonder what it is.....
"You can think of everything I have as yours" uhh... mr. yeonwoo I think you just signed yourself under a marriage paper...there's a reason why that contract is for life
