In search of BLs (specifically yaoi) where the ML/MC has facial hair or a full grown beard.
I read the cowboy BL a long time ago with a beard and realized that most BLs lack that.

Too bad bearded men are a rarity in manga. You've probably read some or all of these.

I'm in the mood for a vampire yaoi. Preferably if the Seme is the vampire and nothing over 100 chapters please.

In search of that one yaoi where the MC is all sad becuase he broke up with his girlfriend and he accidentally gropes the chest of his coworker (?) and now he's obsessed with his boobs because they remind him of his girlfriend. It was short and unfinished the last time I saw it but that was a long ass time ago.

This is gonna sound weird but bear with me for a second.
Theres a BL with an established couple. One is creepy and the other is a ray of sunshine. The creepy guy has this weird thing where he wants sunshine to eat him but sunshine assumes he's joking and laughs it off. I don't remember anything else except that they had this discussion in the bedroom(?). It's a short story but I dont know if it was an extra to another story or a separate thing.
Is Chainsaw Man and Jujutsu Kaisen worth the read?
I see alot of love for them but at the same time I heard they kind of go downhill after certain points. I'm kinda interested but also worried.
read Dr. Stone
I personally found Jujutsu Kaisen entertaining, interesting, and enjoyable all the way through. I'd definitely recommend it it you like action, shonen, or supernatural manga.
Imo, Chainsaw Man is really good and a big reason as to why people don’t like it is because they don’t understand Denji’s character or just feel like the plot is too random. Personally, I like it, I like the characters too, there’s a bunch of cute lesbians, a cute m/f couple, and nice familial relationships.
I used to love Jujutsu Kaisen but it suffered in quality due to Shounen Jump overworking the author which led to his passion dimming. There are definitely many plot holes and many things that could’ve been improved and some decisions don’t feel logical but I don’t hate it. I don’t love nor hate it, but I can surely say that reading it was interesting and I kept going back.
Really? I heard it was too much fighting going on and not much story, that’s what I heard about the anime version tho
not much story? bro you gotta be kidding me
Chainsaw Man is one of my favorite manga so i highly recommend. The action & world building is super cool imo which is a huge appeal of the story. Just because i love it though, doesn't mean i can't understand why other people don't.
A large draw of the story is that its really fucking weird. Everythings weird, the premise, the characters, and the plot. At the beginning especially theres A LOT of fanservice. now i don't think the fanservice is entirely pointless because its meant to illustrate denji's loneliness and desperation to be loved, but it can still be offputting. Also if you're uncomfortable with topics like grooming or lowkey pedophilia i also wouldn't recommend it, because the underage mc has that shit happen to him left and right, but again i think its meant to demonstrate a point, which is why i'm okay reading it even if i normally avoid stories with those plotlines.
What makes chainsaw man different imo is that it feels like there's a lot more heart and soul put behind it than jjk. you can really learn to feel for the tragedy of the mc and the people around him, but with jjk i don't really feel any of that. Like one of the other commenters said, you could start feeling where the author rly started feeling the deadlines.
While i did read jjk & enjoy it, i admit its mostly because of how stupid & brainrotted the jjk fandom was at the time. the memes tbh made it rly enjoyable and id say its just one of those things where u just had to be there. the manga ended on a happy note yes, but it left a lot of plotholes open. Also im salty that in the last chapter this fucking incestuous groomer just shows her feet in one panel and leaves. Its far from the worst plot out there, but if you're looking for a satisfying narrative I would be more likely to recommend Chainsaw Man. JJk is a great story if you just want to see a lot of action though.
also i second reading dr stone, that shits rly good. one of my fav anime too.
That's what I'm hearing people say about it, and that it does not deserve the hype, and it's overrated when it sucks.
Anytime something gains popularity, there will always be a group of people that say it is overrated. Some will say that because they genuinely don't like it and others will say it solely because its popular. If it sounds like something you'd like, then give it a try regardless of what the people that don't like it say.
Yeah, I know they said that about other shows as well, but the fact that people are saying it has too much fighting and hardly any story is making me not want to watch the anime. I want a story to an anime and not just fighting scenes
In my opinion it has plenty of story, but as an action anime it will also have a lot of fighting. More often than not, the fights are for story purposes and help drive the plot and character development forward. They usually aren't just fight scenes for the sake of fight scenes.
Okay. So it sounds like I should just not bother with jjk. I'll try Chainsaw Man and Dr. Stone too. Thanks everyone!
u could still try jjk to see if its your style, ik lots of people who enjoy it regardless of its flaws. id recommend watching the anime over reading the manga though cuz the animations really really good and brings the action to a new level. ur choice though
ehhh, bruhhh the fights in jjk have a reason, not just mindless shit, you can't let other ppl judge something for you, while the major community hates pineapple on pizza ,there are many who like it, so you never know, afterall most of the ppl who hate pineapple on pizza have never tried one iwth pineapple on them
