this is part 2 of the spoilers, first part is below.
while emily's staying home she locks herself in her room and does not go outside at all.
her parents sends a formal complain to the school and school officials and other people comes to the house for them to sign a lot of documents, her family will gets compensated for not revealing anything about the royal family and their relations to the necklace's jewel.
even when there are students from the school who comes to visit her she tells the maid to tell them that she doesnt feel well and therefore cant meet anyone, even when Ethan, sophia and Kira came, she didnt meet any of them. she would still get letters from them and read them from time to time but she never once opened Kira's letters would burn them. she really didnt want to get involved with her anymore.
Emily did feel a bit sorry for Sophia who was so worried for her but Emily had no motivation and was deeply exhausted(girl got depressed from the trauma).
even when her mother would come and comfort her and tell her that everything would be alright and she should just take the time to relax, she couldnt really hear the words that was being said to her.
Karloff came to visit Emily to check on her and also discuss about the future with her.
he told her he made a proposal to the school for her not to get expelled and continue as his teaching assistant. he told her he needed help with the magic stones and that the dean accepted under two conditions.
she tears up and thanks him for genuinely being concerned about her and he is relieved to see Emily finally cheering up a little.
Karloff wasnt sure if he shoud tell her in worry for her mental health but reveals he saw Ethan in the garden outside when he arrived here.
Emily wasnt sure what to do at first but decided to go to the garden but doesnt see him anywhere, she felt sad and disappointed when she suddenly hears Ethan talking to the butler, in panic she hides behind a statue. Ethan moves closer to the place shes hiding.
Emily is wondering if she should reveal herself and say hi but she doesnt have the courage to face him.
he sits down on a bench near her and she felt happy and sad at the same time to be in in the same place as him. after battling with the decision to say hi for a long time, she decided to leave.
Ethan actually knew she hid behind the statue, he could feel her presence and when he stood infront of the statue he blankly stared at her hair that was slightly peaking out from the statue.
he finally sat down on the bench and while his gaze was on the trees all his nerves were focused on Emily's movements.
after a while he gathered up his courage and slowly approached her but he still couldnt get anything out. there was a sudden gust of wind and Emily's hair flew and he reached out his and without realizing it, the tips of her hair lightly brushing against his fingertips but he couldnt get closer to her.
Ethan who opened his mouth several times to call for her, could not utter a word in the end and watched as she left.
that night Emily had a dream of her and Ethan happily dating in school. she wakes up from a chirping sound and felt a warm tickling touch near her eyes. her little chicken was trying to wipe her tears, covering her eyes with its tiny wings.
Emily called out to it and the chick flapped its wings in response and rubbed its cheek against her cheek before pulling away. it sits down and just looks at Emily in silence and she felt puzzled and sits up. it streches its wings but never gets up. Emily picks the chick up and places it on her palm.
she felt a tiny pounding of mana circles within her body and knew right away that her mana that made the chick was about to return to her.
"...Choux?"(the chicks name)
-Beep
She called the chick in a tiny voice that trembled and it started to flap its wings as if happy and the small body began to fade.
Emily startled tries to inject mana to the chick but it still continued to disappear.
her little friend who looked happily up to Emily scattered into a faint light.
she looks for her missing chick with an expression of disbelief for the warmth that just disappeared and starts crying.
timeskip 4 years
Emily deals with a lot of depression during that time but gradually gets back to herself and gets a diploma as a mage and opens up a shop thanks to the compensation money she got.
After Ethan graduates he joins the 5th order of the knights thats known for having ex criminals, his family is ofc shocked to see him choose an order with bad reputation but supports him by sending servants, better food etc.
at first they are suspicious of him but as the years went by and they got to know him better they started to respect him and they also got better treatment thanks to him.
Ethan often dreams of Emily and have regrets of how his first love ended before it could even start.
thanks to his brother who wanted Ethan to help him investigate for him, he have a reunion with Emily bc she'll be joining the mission.
at first Ethan refuses to have her involved but Karloff leaves anyway to go to her store and he decided to go there too bc, obv he wants to see her after a long time.
he hurries to the store and arrives before Karloff and when Emily recognizes him in front of the door she trips and Ethan helps her up. They are still very much in love with each others.
Ethan visit her store again and asks her out for dinner, it starts snowing and its cold so Emily brings him back to her store to dry off, Ethan kisses her hands bc they cold, she feels shy and is about to leave the room but before she can leave Ethan tells her, he really missed her.
he remembers that he often had dreams of her but at some point he started to forget her face and took it as a sign to move on but now standing here in front of her he just wished to be with her.
Emily recalls that time when she hid behind the statue and just left without saying anything, not wanting to make the same mistake she turns back and kisses him.
Ethan is out of it the next day but when he meets up with Emily again he asks if theyre dating now and she hesitates to answer cuz shes embarrassed she kissed him.
he says "you kissed me first so now, what are we?"
they start dating.
Emily's mother was worried for her daughter bc she stopped participating in society meaning she wouldnt get any marriage proposals but at the same time she didnt want to pressure Emily bc she wanted her to heal from her trauma and try trusting people again, Kira's betrayal really left a big wound.
so when she saw her daughter come home with a handsome man she immediately invited him for dinner and when Ethan tell them he is dating her with the plan to marry her later, he wins their hearts right away.
at one point Ethan gets a bit drunk and when asked what was the most difficult part of his years of hunting monsters, he blurts out about the dreams of Emily he had bc he missed her so much.
during the mission Karloff and Ethan meets up with the youngest wizard that works at the wizard association, Kira.
she asks them if they are in contact with Emily and if they could arrange a meeting but Karloff answers vaguely. he thinks of Emily's trauma and is bent on never letting Kira meet her.
Kira never realized what she really ended up doing until she got back to the academy after signing documents to hide the truth about the necklace and finding out Emily left the school.
she knew what the necklace was but she was too high on her horse gaining popularity and prestige from being a powerful wizard and getting support from a royal familymember.
she basically knew Emily would be the scapegoat but only after seeing her on the floor did she feel regret for being too greedy.
everyone at school knew Kira was involved with what happened to Emily and that resulted in her getting isolated and some even bullied her and stole her notes/research papers.
Kira realized that this never happened when Emily was there because she was always protecting Kira, which made her regret even more.
after the incident she lost the support she was getting and when she started working at the tower she was forced to do all the work no one wanted to do bc she was the youngest and a commoner.
at the end Emily goes to Kira to talk to her one last time for closure, she tells her right away that its impossible for her to accept an apology and have any sort of relationship bc her betrayal hurt too much but at the same time she wished Kira to live happily bc she still had some good memories from when they were friends, so now they should live their lifes separately. after Emily leaves Kira cries for as long time while thinking she will always be sorry for ruining such a precious friendship.
Astina got house confinement as a punishment and has bad reputation and even if shes from one of the riches families she probably wont be able to marry.
Lucas gets married to a princess from another country as a sign of alliance(political marriage) and he has to leave the country to live with the princess in her country
Ethan and Emily is getting married.
