How refreshing. He better apologize but it's refreshing to see soemthing being done immediately instead of the additional drama of "I don't want you" heartbreak pining only for the wronged to get sad and try to move on only for the wrongdoer to double back and apologize and beg for forgiveness over the course of a few chapters probably through means of sex. Cut out the middle man. I like it
The misunderstanding trope is less misunderstanding here and more so lack of communication because there are things left unsaid. Puppy tat isn't misunderstanding he just wants the truth and manwhore(affectionate) isn't giving that to him. I love that puppy recognized the toxicity and put a stop to it in probably not the best way. They definitely need to talk rather than a break but that's difficult when manwhore gets in his head about it. He definitely needs reassurance and patience poor guy us haunted by his past. I actually really like where this story is going it makes them all feel more real as characters with actual conflict between them.
