am i the only one that doesn't support norio and kunimasa as a couple? there's just so much wrong with it like bruh. i wish mangakas were supportive of divergent stories where choosing the second is guy is the right choice.
I sincerely think alex and cole are not meant for each other because it's getting more toxic by each chapter, and to see how Alex is also narcissistic paired with cole's inferior complex. They're both very fucked up but like I really did love their relationship in the beginning. When alex said "I can't even complain", I would have never thought it was an issue of being inferior to cole because lilly kissed cole and not him? Brad called it.
Brad I think is better suited for someone like cole. Even though he kissed a guy who was already in a relationship, he respected cole's decisions from the kiss, to getting out of his room and laying off when he chose alex in the end.

Well, the series is still ongoing. We don't know what might happen at the end. But then again, I don't mind how things are with Alex at this point either. This manga is just so realistic ugh!!
im so sad, this story had so much potential and it literally threw it away. These are such selfish main characters. How could she not choose Akamaru? this was some toxic stuff.
This plot had potential to be something beautiful but I am not impressed. The uke has trauma due to harrassment by gay people and therefore dislikes them yet in a heart beat he falls for the seme who also approaches him in a perverted way which should have scared him or pissed him off. There was no character development in this at all.

Shimizu Yuki has the best Yaoi stories I have ever read. Love Mode was my first of her Yaoi stories and I am always stunned with tears at the end everytime I read it. Unlike other Yaoi, Shimizu really serves us something poignant and endearing while its both highly explicit and sensual. There are not many authors who can weave in so many storylines and couples so well! Usually there are favourites and ones that you'd want to skip but every couple in this couple, you will want to read. I think my favourite thing about Shimizu stories and Love Mode is the dialogue and the Art. There is a very intriciate and touching focus on words and small features such as fingers, eyes and such that make it most evocative. It's such a well thought-out story that you can always come back to read.
Ok so I first read this months ago - only the first few chapters and left it at that because I dislike rape stories and the masochism/sadism just seemed extreme. Recently however, I picked this up again and I am happy that I did because this is one unique and touching story. It's rare to find lengthy Yaoi romances, and this story really shed some light on deviant preferences and polygamy. And I don't really see what's wrong with the art and why you'd compare it with viewfinder? Viewfinder was one of my first Yaoi and I loved it at the time but have come to dislike it because it lacks a storyline, and it has rape romanticised all over it. I thought Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai was the same, however it embodies both an amazing storyline and art that portray how rape affects victims and their families.

People justifying rape within stories because "it's completely different from real life and just a story" are dumbasses. I've read a few rape stories and I don't condone the way mangakas romanticise and normalise rape like this manga but there have been a few mangakas who have been able to turn the story around and address the rape as a problem and have the seme apologise for it (i.e Hidoku Shinaide). it doesn't make it any better but at least it has been acknowledged unlike some stories like this which have the uke under stockholm syndrome. I've only read the first few chapters of this manga and it's just demeaning the way the seme uses the uke and how the uke is presented as a weak-willed submissive to the seme. This the typa story to make some of yall think love is having a man push you up on a wall against your will.

I don`t read mangas where rape turns into love anymore. It is disgusting. I know the psychology behind this as a student and I also know where this fantasy comes from looking at it from a cultural side. In asia it is still not seen as that wrong when the husband forces himself onto his wife. I know this from turkey as well. Although officially it is a crime, people shut up about it and in traditional families give the vibe as if the wife is (like in the past) owned by the husband. Like an object. Rape is rape. It is violence. The only reason why people can read this and like this is because i mangas they make it look sexy. As if, although it is forced, the uke/bottom/women enjoys it. And that is what is so horrible. The most horrible part of being rape for a victim is, that although they don`t want it and are absolutely against it and repulsed by it, their body reacts against their will. Humans are able to saparate mind from body. Even though both are connected and unsaparable. The body reacts to stimuli. So no matter how much the mind refuses, the body will react if it is stimulated in the right way....and that is what in reality breaks the mind of the victim. That is why mand victims don`t find or even ask for justice. Because they blame themselves, are ashamed of it and the rapist gets away. May be goes on raping their partner or becomes a serial rapist or whatever.....this stuff is seriously just horrible....i like sex, i love yaoi and rough sex is hot as hell, but only if it is consensual. even if it is a fantasy. people should be aware of reality. yes, writing is an expression without boundaries. and people have fantasies about rape. but that is more like, in reality, they want to be roughed up by surprise by someone they find attractive sexually and are not actually scared of. this stuff is so upsetting....
This!! I completely agree with what you are saying. Theres a difference between rape and rough sex. Too many readers see it as only a story and I sometimes wonder what their outlook on rape is in real life if they condone it within reading. Mangakas still have a long way to go with these primitive story conventions.
I think it also comes from a lack of knowledge and experience. Sometimes I read mangas that seem like they were obviously created by a female that may be never had anal sex, bad anal sex or no sex at all. Or may be just missionary what ever, just not good experience. No matter if female or male anal is super extremely painful if you do it without preparation. I think you could not even easily enter a virgin or abstinent person at all like they show in mangas....especially without lubrication....bruh that shit must hurt like hell and the top would not be able to really move much....and they show it as if it is super enjoyable...like duh...not at all possible....not in this world haha....and obviously they do not understand that what they often show is clear rape and not rough sex....i guess that is why people here say they like it.....urgh so annoying
bro read the first chapter and...what the fuck. This is so intriguing in the most disturbing way. I've read many dark stories, and this probably the most disturbing one in the Yaoi genre for me (different from the rape/stockholme syndrome narratives). Had to take a couple days in between the chapters cos reading all that once is a mindfuck.
