It's about a toxic ML who slaughtered a kingdom and forced the FL to marry him, and if she refused, she'd get killed along with her step-family, the FL is passively weak and stupid.
ML is even a psychopath to his own people as he even Killed a guard for simply doing his job just because he didn't let the FL into the ballroom, way too excessive for just denying entry (under orders mind you).
This could've been a golden opportunity for the FL to be brave and try to stop his tyrannical behavior and say "Hey don't kill him! He's just following orders. Why must you murder people for every slight? If you keep this up, your people will revolt against you. " Or she could've used her Healing powers to heal the guard.
This would've show case that she could be capable of becoming a wise and caring Queen who isn't afraid to stand up for what is right. Instead, you get a dumb fucking idiot who just stood by and was told to close her eyes like a fucking kid.
And whenever the psycho ML beheads people and keeps telling her to close her eyes like fucking ten year old, instead of being horrified like a normal person, she feels safe around him because he did it for her sake. Safe around that Psycho? Yeeeah I would've Nope right out of there if it were me, but I'm not an idiot.
I read fanfiction better than this, the author should've hired a better editor.

Yeah this is a prime example of why you don’t get info from a single YouTube video LMFAO. All it takes is to read the beginning chapters and it already says the info that you and that YouTube video excluded.Th first chapter LITERALLY shows the FL running away from her abusive step-family but failing.
Here’s something you may have missed:
ML and his country were literally at war with the FL’s country. The king of FL’s country sent assassin to MURDER the young kids of ML’s people. In a way, the ML’s people were seen as “barbaric animals.” When the country FL lives in, has a terrible king. So idk if you or the YouTuber who made the video, are agreeing with the racist aspects... without caring about the ML’s people’s side of the story. But according to yall: “villainize the dark skinned people and praise the white skinned people!”
Also the step-family literally abuses the FL. Did you miss that part? Or did you think they were a sweet and loving family from the fact that they were planning to sell her off to the king. The ML came the day where she was gonna be sold off to the king. The reason he was there, was because the FL’s step bro robbed the ML’s people’s graves- and got money from it. Of course their people is gonna be mad for their people’s graves being disrespected. The step-mom offered the FL to ML, in exchange for sparing their lives.

You can easily read chapters 1-7 and see he treats her better than her own family and people.
Also that killing a guard situation happens in chapter 16-17. He didn’t let her into the ball, and also shoved both the servant and FL, causing an injury to the FL. FL’s servant explained what happened as well as the villainess put all the blame on the guard and said that he should be given the most punishment. Sure, the amount of violence wasn’t necessary, but that also was not the only reason you seemed to exclude. Realistically, in these historical time periods, punishments are taken more seriously than modern laws. Also what logic is her using the healing powers when she’s supposed to keep it a secret for her own safety.

Well, who cares if Iltak gets with Ginger? He's literally the same Assh*le he was in Middle school who severely bullied and tormented a boy for being gay calling him homophobic slurs and getting others to beat him up every day, ruining his life.

The thing your missing from reading the story is that iltak is slowly realizing the shit he has done in the past towards other people was bad (thanks to hyungjoo disgusting ass bullying him) . In addition to that, hyungwoo isn’t a type of delinquent that bullies people so illtak becoming friends with him won’t make him a bully.
I don't like it when Hyung Joo SH the MC but in this case, it's well deserved. Especially when after rereading,' chapter 18 of Iltak's thoughts on the poor kid he bullied.
