By reading thus far, you can tell that Horus is not as mature as one might think in some cases. When if comes to wanting to be with Seth so bad, that it reflects what he did a child and keeping incense on to keep Seth into staying. And what Horus is doing now in wanting to always do much, I think he's just so eager to make sure Seth is okay, be with him, and touch him etc...

He won't tell Seth about the mirror either because he is jealous of Anubis and Nephthys. But at the same time he's so mature in other ways. He is very reassuring and supportive to the point that it's overwhelming Seth. He supports him as he's atoning, often telling him he IS strong as the Guardian god. But Seth has that curse that Orisis placed on him on his doubt of if he really is strong. So I can see why even the little bit of help makes him so upset, because being weaker simply validates that curse Orisis placed on him.

At the same time, however, Seth is very ill. He's feverish and he's internally wounded. Even FG is telling hint I calm down... So i don't think Horus is overreacting. But there are moments that are funny and he simply just wants to carry Seth. And Seth sees through his BS!

Anyway, i was saying that I noticed that every time Seth tries to do things on his own he gets hurt and raped, even by FG, that mfkr. Now, you can question if chapter 145 was Horus doing the same, but it's hard to tell because in the non mature version, Seth doesn't punch or kick him in the face. Regardless, I still hate that the author made Horus break his vow to never violate Seth again.

I hate on FG, but that's because he's so far a one layered person, and he confuses me. I don't understand his motives like when he was wondering why the auctioneers would humiliate Seth the way they did, yet mfkr HUMILATED HIM BY RAPING HIM! ughdbdb. After this chapter, he at least spoke up some truth and said Horus is worried for him.
Seth has made progress on breaking the cursed bracelet only when Horus is around.

Also, I can't stand people who hate on the fact that Horus calls him uncle.... Like! Serious? For one, in Korean it's a term of respect, and I'd like to think that it's also a term of endearment and used in a connotation of closeness. Everyone calls Seth by his name, God of War, or King of Egypt. Only about two or three people have ever had that ability to call Seth something endearing, and Horus craves that closeness and CRAVES to be his number one.

Horus is the BIGGEST Seth simp. Unfortunately it makes him jealous and stubborn, and although being stubborn has been able to weasle his way into Seth's heart, his jealousy is going to be his biggest downfall/fallout with Seth. Especially if Horus doesn't say anything about Nephthys in the mirror.

The babying is annoying but it's not completely unwarranted: I re-read some chapters and in chapter 152 and they said that Seth could DISAPPEAR if he keeps overdoing it: he's mortal now and can die of the accumulation of internal injuries he's received from using the curse (or having it activate). And it's not just related to the curse: Seth himself says in chapter 124 that now he could even die in the desert just like any human that gets abandoned there, so we know he can and would die now, if he got injured or ill etc etc before he recovers his godhood.

I'm pretty sure he wasn't talking about the humans, there, but about the other gods of Egypt, who in punishing Seth by taking away his godhood and sending him out to interact with humans, let him get abused by humans in this manner, which for a former god is obviously humiliating (foreign god seems to think it's one thing for a god to be abused by another god, and a complete humiliation for a god to be abused by a *human*).

I still hate him though! He could be a very one layered person, but something about him... Like 1% can't hate him because he's always being honest and reliable to always tell the truth in that sense.

i don't think what we're saying are at odds with each other, except that there's definitely a more tactful and compassionate way horus could've gone about it. treating seth as "fragile pottery" as seth put it, was not it. the curse makes his mortality even more apparent, but that shouldn't strip him of his independence and agency. his physical condition shouldn't be prioritized at the expense of his spiritual and mental condition, which happens all too often and is seen here as well. so i do think horus' behavior is unwarranted bc there are many ways to look after and take care of a person, but he chose the one that he should understand is demeaning to seth.

I know in later chapters they have a talk about it. I don't understand fully the Korean and tried to use a translator, but didn't quite understand.

I guess I aslo am trying to understand that Horus has never cared for someone like Seth, because maybe the people he took care of were fragile women and children as he was growing up.
Not to mention that he's not fully mature yet mentally. He's really trying but yeah, yes unfortunately demeaning. I guess to me it's the thought that counts.
It's better imo than how originally the author was gonna make him. Abusive, lustful, obsessive.

I did notice Horus being more paranoid than usual over Seth's safety, to the point he's being a lot more "overbearing" than he usually is (perhaps overly anxious because them being unfamiliar territory now, with an injured Seth and a foreign god they don't really know if they can trust... makes him paranoid that this could be that one "scenario" where that old premonitory vision he had as a kid, about Seth disappearing, could actually become true?). Maybe that's why he's not being as insightful of Seth's emotions as he usually is... (if we leave aside the distraction of having a "rival" present, of course...lol)

Couldn't have said it better myself. You're absolutely right! I think also, the fact that this FG Walmart jesus is considered a rival. I think when Walmart jesus showed up and carried Seth after Seth was on the sand coughing up blood, I think since then, Horus has been more paranoid. He doesn't feel confident that he can fully protect him because as Horus said, he can't best this FG of he was a fit rival for Seth when he was a god.

And, to be honest, even *I* get paranoid about Seth shooting himself in the shoot with his impulsive actions... Ever since he managed to "kill" Osiris, he's basically let the undead Osiris outwit him in every single encounter... and some of those times really made me want to kick him: remember at the end of the 3rd match, when Osiris managed to catch him and almost get him dragged to Duat by his undead monsters, taking advantage of how Seth *got himself* knocked out by foolishly grabbing the cursed bracelet Anubis offered him, with his own hand?? He was still a god, back then, and still he had to be rescued by others... (that time it was by Isis, of all people!) So yeah... can't say I would vouch for Seth knowing how not to act stupidly out of sheer pride, enough to always be trusted with his own safety... (every single time he has a confrontation with the undead Osiris, all of Seth's rationality seems to go down the drain... no matter how much I understand why that is )

Not only with undead Osiris, I think a lot of the time he has his pride on the line. Notice in how when he ran away he got turned into a slave and sold.

the thing about him being a doormat is that he does it because he likes Akino but rationalizes it as just ‘taking care’ of him so he doesn’t have to admit that he has feelings for such an irresponsible guy. he likes his touches and his company but he has too much pride to admit it to himself. and Akino desperately wants to hold on to his heterosexuality. even after they both come to terms with only wanting to be in each other’s company they still feign ignorance. they want to have their cake and eat it too

i think it's the opposite, the newer generations are more stable so it seems like it's less likely for their powers to activate if they're provoked. even adam should've considered situations like this happening esp given his military training. they're letting a literal weapon of mass destruction out willy nilly. if there hasn't been before, i'd be really surprised if there wasn't any public outrage from this.

Yeah, especially scenarios like this where his or other humans lives could be at risk. They should have at least had some training on how to handle these situations, if someone tries to shoot you don’t destroy the building etc. Learning how to drink tea could have come later.
