eh, i thought adam couldn't guide properly bc their levels didn't match which was why they decided to do the medicated guiding. eve has already been tortured 90%, might as well go all the way and figure out an alternative next time?? eve was visibly shaking before he went in and adam noticed so why didn't he ask about it beforehand? but also now he can guide??
y'all i like hot buff men being spicy but this is so contrived.
it came out of nowhere so it feels like it got shoehorned in last minute. adam's been cautious about guiding eve from the beginning (post memory wipe), going over how potentially lethal the injection is would've helped me understand why he's hemming and hawwing (i thought it was a self-esteem thing), and would've given more weight to that torture scene. but this dude just said this injection is bad for me oh well and casually jams it into his veins. if his life was in that much danger with the injection, eve already had his insides reliquified 90% of the way to recovery, him stopping it kind of fucked them both over. how did adam guide eve before?
i have so many questions and the answer shouldn't just be, let them bang. the world building in the beginning had so much promise but it doesn't really do anything to enrich the storytelling.
i haven't picked up a book in more than two years, but here i am, desperately feeding the novel into various online translators hoping i get a translation that doesn't make me want to scream in agony
you got it! lemme know if you'd like to know more but my head was in the gutter and i jumped straight to the hanky panky part of the novel which was near the end and
sejin's mom apparently lands up in the hospital and passes away. looks like seju makes it possible for sejin's mom to be hospitalized and he takes care of the medical costs. sejin finishes school? he goes to collect his diploma. up until this point sejin's been having wet dreams about seju and they finally seal the deal on a rainy night when seju grieves like he did in the most recent chapter. they have a back and forth about the age gap and seju gets salty when sejin says he'll pull up to the senior center for seju as a hottie in his prime lol. looks like seju's idea of love is to understand someone in their entirety and sejin is ok with loving him without all the context.
that's as far as i got and there were still a few chapters and side stories (?) after that i ignored, but if you're interested i'll update when i go back and start from where the manhwa left off lol.
hello! i'm halfway thru the novel and i don't think there's anything going on w the hot boss except that he's a cold and ruthless betch. i can't remember what the scene was like in the manhwa (maybe it seemed like sexual tension)? but in the book it was not that lol. his boss is a psychopath and he was trying to keep his boss from taking an interest in sejin. it kind of seems like seju's boss is purposely pressing seju's buttons to see him tear himself apart and be at odds with what his sister wanted for him
i miss hotheaded gremlin seth from s1. he’s been gradually yassified more and more, in looks and personality
I agree, with the way he is now, you'd hardly believe he massacred all those women and children
I think it's normal that he changed, he's supposed to learn to feel empathy for his victims so it's normal he does now. I feel like that's character growth?
That's character development, literally one of the major plot points of Ennead
Unfortunately that hotheaded gremlin did murder women and children
i think he's changing for the sake of fan service and expectations rather than character development bc ppl want to see a weak more feminized seth get coddled and protected by big strong man horus. they're the endgame pairing so they're trying to facilitate the relationship quicker to deepen the relationship, but it doesn't feel organic to me.
og happy seth (before osiris blew everything up) had a distinct masculinity to him. vengeful seth had a range of exaggerated expressions that just made him feel so fun and fresh. repenting seth COULD be more vulnerable, but the way he's depicted now just seems out of character for me. someone as prideful as him needs at least a few more character arcs to to reach somewhere near this point, and i don't expect his features to get softer or rounder in the process.
Cmon now, if Mojito were to make the story any more slow-paced for the "character development" to feel natural to you, readers would complain even more about the plot going """nowhere""" (눈‸눈)
