Should I read Banana Fish? I really want to read this manga and been thinking for the nth time. But I'm scared that it will impact my mentality just like after I read Zankoku Na Kami Ga Shihai Suru. It really trigger something on me that until now I'm scared to read this kind of manga that's why I'm into manhwa now. Short and not that traumatizing. Can someone enlighten me to read Banana Fish.

I'm not going to gaslight you into watching it lmao, but yes it is kinda traumatizing yet very well written story (but idk for me I felt some kind of relief for the ending but I can't tell you why because I don't wanna spoil it) but sure thing it is worth to read/watch. For some people, like me too, it changed how I view the world and people instead of giving an impact to my mentality. Even today I still got my FYP on TikTok about Banana Fish.
As for me who read the manga back then when I was a junior high school, I still watched the anime when it released in my college year. Double kill for my heart but I still did it. But if you ask me will I reread or rewatch(?) definitely NO

Yesterday, I read the 1st chapter, but when I saw Papa Dino, I can already feel what it means. It's like I know what's next. .. That's why I stop and want to try watching anime but I'm into Manga and i saw the review that a lot of cut scene. So going back here. I post this.

And you are right. Always go read the manga first. I don't watch any anime unless I read the manga first because it'll give you more understanding to the plot.

Kami Shihai Suru (not th plot of Zankoku but the settings theme) just the setting.
Just the setting, i really love those kind of setting (Historical). I don't know what kind of era is that. Is just that everytime i read these kind of story i felt that I'm in that era too.
