My name is Milk. I translate Japanese comics/manga as a hobby. I'm still learning Japanese, so I apologize if my translations aren't always accurate. I continuously strive to learn, so please let me know on my Instagram (@snacklations) if I made any mistakes. I usually work alone, but from time to time, I consult with my friends Flan, Cookie, Grape, and Bread for help. You will notice some changes in the text as time passes due to me correcting a mistake or making revisions that my friends suggested.
I'm thankful for my friends and team for helping me on my hobby and learning journey.
Cookie: He helps me with my Japanese and also goes the extra mile to research any Japanese characters, culture, history, etc., that would help me understand any confusion I have when encountering something unknown within a story.
Flan and Grape: These two help me tremendously with my English. Often, my translation sounds stiff or too much of a mouthful due to my overthinking and desire for staying true to the original text. It's hard for me to figure out what to put, as there are many ways to interpret Japanese, and some of it can't be directly translated into English. Flan helps my translation sound less awkward and flow more naturally. She also provides multiple ways I can rewrite my sentences. Grape helps correct grammar and punctuation. He's a great storyteller, so I can trust him when it comes to whether my translation can be understood.
Bread doesn't do any translation, but they're always on call to give me and everyone moral support (and a good laugh) when we're feeling frustrated and stuck.
