I have a large list of "now reading" manga and for the most part the notifications will let me know when a new chapter is available but I can't help but notice that I don't get notified of an update on all the ones I'm reading. I will even filter the main list by update date and they may not show so I go on thinking that there has not been any new chapters. Does it only let you a certain amount of manga that it keeps track of the updates for at a time or something? or am I just doing something wrong?
I’m not a pro at mgg or anything, but I think the reason is that it’s set in a different timezone, so when it’s updated for the site, may be much later for when it’s updated for you. For example, mine always updates at least 6 hours after the chapters released

hello, i actually have this problem for as long as i've been here (i still do i think </3) from my observation the answer is simply sometimes mangago "miss" the update and they just dont give you the notification, yes, the different timezone might be the case too! you will get the notification based on your timezone. i'm still not sure about there's certain limit to keep track your list, the most i've ever gotten was 18.
but if you have feeling that the mangago did u dirty like the first im mentioned, try to switch the list to 'already read' list, though it will messed up your list :( only if you dont mind with that. it actually works for me!

Thanks for letting me know, I can also see where it might miss some, I was just wondering because one of my favorites has gone a while without an update and so I went to it and saw that it had a new chapter 4/11/25 but my notifications for that day did not show it as one that updated. I do happen to have over 100 in my "now reading" list so I thought that might be one reason.

I’ve had the same issue lately of being told it’s updated but the new chapter hasn’t come up or available but only for a select few and it’s only ever those, never new or different ones, this helped me cos now I gotta go check the times too lol I will say tho that the amount on ur ‘now reading’ shouldn’t affect it, on my old acc I had abt 500 reading and never had the issue

And another thing usually when u add something to Ur reading list it automatically ticks the 'subscibe this manga' option so that U receive notifs, maybe you've unticked that? But I doubt it if U get updates on it sometimes.
