The art change from the prettiest art I've ever seen in a manhwa to this affected me too much even though the art is still pretty... but the difference is so easily noticeable it's made me cry out "THE ART" as soon as I laid eyes on it. ( T﹏T )
Still will keep reading cause the premise is still a fun one and I want to see if sis will have her goals or have a change of goals. (▰˘◡˘▰)
I have so many gripes with this grown Seol-Ah cause if we're speaking realistically he's done nothing wrong in the first run expect maybe leaving the kid alone for the teeny tiny time he had her (although one could say that he was still grieving and coping with the new world and having a kid thrown at him that he wasn't even sure was his as well would've been a lot for most people) and deliver his facts with a shit attitude.
First thing is would anyone seriously believe a lover who they left with bad terms and suddenly came back with a child after multiple years when they were in a tight spot and knew I was in a good one... on what grounds would I believe this is my child?
sure you're a good person but either way you're a liar for the sake of your child cause you either lied about them being mine or lied about their existence this whole time so I stand with him.
Second thing is Seol-Ah'll never understand that he couldn't do anything because he was literally too weak to do anything to save her or even find her so how was he supposed to help her? The powerful will never understand the struggle of the weak...
I know... lost and lonely child but I'm just trying to defend him and he's actually trying to fix things instead of thinking hey I'll just kill the kid and prevent this world ending disaster which I know is dark but would've been a valid response considering how much harm she caused...
If you got to this point I'm sorry for the long useless rant but I just had vent cause I felt this needed to be said imo.
Yeah I don’t think either the dad or the daughter are in the wrong. He tried to save her and she depended on the only adult she had. The real villain is the magic tower and their greed. I really need to know more about them and what the fuck their problem was. Like if I wanted to benefit from a never before seen magical child I would offer them ice cream and at least pretend to be their friend but noooooooooooo they were like lemme kidnap u and make u feel unsafe
Thank you for the reply and I apologize if my rant sounded like I'm blaming Seol-ah... I am a bit surprised about her forgetting that he sacrificed himself for her and her not noticing him never raising his weapon against her from the beginning of his "witch hunt" but like you said she vilified him cause she was alone and afraid and it felt like he abandoned her so I have no anger towards her... only some cliff notes about her behavior that are not invalidating her reaction as an overall.
But I gotta say I'm having some issues with the way the story portrays what he did the first time as him being the cause of everything wrong in her life like he was the cause of what happened in the magic tower (which was the most villainous side in her past life imo), her mother's death, and what happened to Erszebet (not sure if that's the correct spelling)... Maybe it's a plot point that will be resolved in the future but I had to let out my rant to defend mc for now.
while seol-ah might still be kind enough to forgive her dad if he truly cares for her, what matters is the fact that he couldn't save her.
she's suffered since childhood with no one to protect her, and she's supposed to accept "i tried, but i couldn't help you"?
everyone is trying to use and kill her since she's a child, being called a monster.
she's pretty much broken as a human, she even murdered people. i think she has the right to hate everyone, and even hating her now happy past self makes sense. right or wrong no longer means shit to her.
I said I have minimal gripes with Seaol Ah's "quest for vengeance or jealousy" but I apologize for forgetting the most important one... her mother.
she knows hurting her happy young "self" would hurt one of the only people she loves and trusts yet she hasn't thought "I'll steal mum back for myself" but "I'll hurt her so much by killing her child and her current love cause that's what she deserves" ???
I know why she hates her father but I have some issues with the story making him feeling bad of his RATIONAL old decisions which sure feel bad for not expressing yourself correctly and for knowing your child experienced what she did, but not your own actions based on the info you had at that time... as for Seol-Ah her pain and feelings are valid albeit a bit irrational but I can get it just a bit of a problem with what I mentioned about her dad and also about what I said now about her mum. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Still a great story and I can't wait for the next chapters. (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
So the demon king enjoying fan service is canon.
