I read the full thing and the ending left me a bad after taste.
1. The gang war is left unresolved : We don't know how the reapers managed to calm down their inner strugle.
We don't know if the snake dissolved or not considering they lost the reaper as an ally and made the construction group their enemy (and I don't think the construction group would back down like oh yes you killed my son and put my business in a bad spot but since it was to catch the leader of the dragon, I'll let you go and forget everything ahah).
We don't know what happened to the dragon. Tae-sung is linked to the death of the first leader and involved in the death of the "second" leader. I think they would want revenge, making it hard for Tae-sung and Soo-young to be safe. And I can't believe Min-hyuk took the lead, for what ? piss Tae-sung off ? considering he hate Zhou, it wasn't for the love of the job...
2. Some characters made an appearence for nothing. Ji-sung, Soo-young "ex-lover". We saw his face in 1 frame and he got killed off-screen. Like I hated him but damn. And I can't believe anyone (but Tae-sung off course lol) would think a random gym guy would be at the top of the dragon after the previous leader's death.
Ki Kang-il. Last time we saw him was around chapter 40 and he was supposed to live like a cockroach missing his tongue. It was good enough but no, the author had to bring him back for nothing AND with Soo-young's father who we barely heard of during the story (what we knew about him was 1.he beat he son and 2.he had a debt which caused Tae-sung and Soo-young encounter).
3. The side story are not going to the direction I thought they would. I only read the first page and when I understood I would not get conclusion to the points I discussed above, I went direct to the comment and was disappointed when I read we went back to abuse.
What I actually wanted to see was : - Soo-young walking without crutches and maybe going on a trip with Tae-sung and them being sweet to each other. - A conclusion for Min-hyuk (did he leave, Tae-sung let him go just like that ?, did he stay in contact with Soo-young, did he apologies for SAing Soo-young TWICE ?!). - Mr. Kim and his fried chicken business (and his daughter).
I know I complain a lot (what can I do I'm french lol) but I still liked the story. The art style is really good and it was interesting. The main couple share some hot sex scene and sweet moment (not many but they are still present).
This makes me wanna read it again the way you described things but I just know I’ll be frustrated with the MC’s dumb decision making and questionable story plot progressions lol. But yeah, the art is magnifique as they all say
