this was very good.. too brain fried rn and writing this a couple days later after already reading it but I love the portrayal of women in this because it highlights real struggles women can face is the real world…
“why am I not a virgin? why, because I have a life of course…” and then when she cried… God that scene hit me hard in the feels. Why we as women are seen and viewed in worth by body count and so often (by female leads) portrayed in the media as pure and virgin goody two shoes while men (male leads) whore around and their worth isn’t deferred at all. But if it was the female lead that would be the case.
Why that common trope is so prevalent, because society subconsciously rejects women who have experienced life and struggles (which is just like the women in this story); and thus not this “innocent little bird”… and then people think that makes it a valid excuse to treat them like shit?
When MC killed those men to revenge her the unfair and unjust treatment of her friend’s death… oh my god. so satisfying. So good. So sad… they think they can just use and toss women around as they please because they make a living with their body (because of that male egocentric society to begin with which doesn’t even give them opportunities) and it just makes me so mad. Wish I could explain my thoughts rn better but so brain fried
