Here's the thing: webtoon format turned manga? Can absolutely work, with the right adaptations for the paneling. But the going the opposite route? And with flat coloring on top of that??? Oh boy... The quality loss is scary. This mangaka drew a manga thinking about how it would look the best as a manga – so a lot of stuff isn't going to translate well. And also, flat colors and cell shading can look good in a webtoon that was *born* to be a webtoon, yes, but that's mainly because of the crispness of digital art (as well as other effects that can be easier to add in art programs). With pieces like this, it just looks off-place

Like, I'm not especially mad that this manga got "webtoon-ed", but it's a trend that's been really bothering me. It's perfectly fine as a manga.... why are you cropping, upscaling and splitting a perfectly good and thought-out paneling....!!!!

Sigh. I'm a huge fan of paneling work, so this might be why I hate to see this happen... but oh well. The original still exists so nothing was truly lost.

Idk this wasn't perfect but it was nice enough. Yaku was mean when it came to their relationship status but other than that they still had a normal relationship (he cooked for Hino, they went out shopping, etc), since Yaku started to genuinely care for Hino after he realizes Hino *wasn't* a "playboy" who was unnecessarily pitying him. His dislike for romantic relationships and the way he was so strongly against it with Hino was also probably bc of Asano... idk, I guess I just don't get the hate towards Yaku. He has a bad personality, but he's and ok guy overall. Hino's obsession with him, on the other hand, doesn't make much sense... but who am I to question love right lol since Yaku treasures him now, Hino should live a fairly happy life. Good for them ig

This was much cuter than I anticipated!! I love how the author gave our boys some small but distinctive traits, like Zono's teeth and Deto being covered in moles.

That being said, Zono's dad was too much of an asshole for me to be satisfied with the way he was dealt with... I wanted to see him get sucker punched within an inch of his life, jail was not enough....!!!

But, all in all, I'm glad their relationship saved Zono from that bastard. May Zono and Deto be forever happy!!
