Certified BANGER holy shit this was good. I could certainly do with some side stories of Edith and Kilian, or even about Cliff (only god knows what that man's doing now), but this was such a satisfying read... I really couldn't ask for more. The art is stupidly good, the characters are nice, the relationship builds up at just the right pace, and the plot flows seamlessly! The third condition being met did take one hell of a lot longer than the first two, which I did guess would be the case, but even then it does feel thematically in place so I enjoyed that spacing nonetheless :] The only things I would go as far as to critique is the lack of a conclusion for Cliff; I know he's already very different from the novel ending, but imo them being different as characters isn't a bad thing. This is an adaptation after all. I just wanted to see what kinda void that dude fell into lol
10/10, would recomend for anyone who wants something more fresh out of the "Villainess genre." It's nothing *super* innovative by any means, but it's real solid work very nice
