Also I get everyone saying the ending is shitty but maybe that's just because we didn't get the ending we wanted it was an unfair ending but imo that's the way it's supposed to be, like this is life and in the end it's the innocent people who suffer while the monsters live on. The realism of that situation was made to add a sick ending to a sick story so it stays ingraved in our minds

The elevator scene got me thinking like why have we never seen a story where shit like this happen but like someone catches them and reports the guy for rape and helps the other dude and then they fall in love, like why is it so normalized for shit like rape and cheating to be romanticized

I mean, its literally a porn story, asking why there is porn in it is like asking "why is there rice in that onigiri" we know it's a waste majority and that sadly, it's the plot for many story that is mostly based on porn/smut...wish it wasn't the case, but we could spend hour talking about how romance in art and pornography was constructed on male gaze (that is mostly a gaze of domination, so per se, rape).
Plus, in this story that is solely useful for a fap, asking this question is a bit absurd in my opinion...

Just because it's a porn story doesn't mean it should have rape. With the rice in the origami example u used. Sure, there's rice in the origami, but why is the rice burnt? Burning the rice is unnessacary, just like how rape in a porn story is unessacary. There are many pornwha, yaoi, yuri and hentai etc that have porn and ridiculous ways on how the porn happens, but there's never rape in the story. Even if it's for the male gaze, there again a lot of stories for the male gaze that still don't feature rape. Saying that rape is the story and who cares its just material to do your business too, really does just excuse authors who encourage these behaviors
Authors would be able to write a story without rape if rape is the whole story then maybe its better to not make the story in the first place.

Yes, but for that story, do u think the story would be the same without it ? Definitely not.
I'm saying I agree with you all, definitely. But also, I'm sorry to tell you that we live in a society where rape is sadly overlooked, where victim aren't listened, worst, are even mocked.
Also, I fear some of you are kind of mixing smut or erotica and porn. You're saying that a lot of yaoi/hentai/yuri exist without sex that are just funny, and seriously, these are my favorites all the time. However, you also have to be honest with yourself here: they are not the majority (or at least, the majority that is translated).
We are back in the question of domination and rape in society that I talked earlier (that you might have overlooked, it's fine) we are in a society that is hierarchical (dare I say, patriarchal) and who is mostly laying of domination. And what is one of the biggest domination of all: rape. Without a doubt, some fantasm on that domination though the fantasy of porn. I'm not saying it good or bad, not here to judge, but it's a fact.
That's why, we sadly won't get ride of rape in story so easily...bc it's something that maybe a lot of people need to. It's a fantasm, and humans are perverts in majority.
I think what would be a better question here is, why was a rape here:
In this story (Devouring the Goose Dad Next Door ) : its for that domination coming through fantasm, basically, it's for a fap. The majority of Korean/japanese drawn story of porn lay on this.
Is the rape used like in ENNEAD: its showing the reality of what a rape do to its victim, not ignored, not overlooked, not mocked, but its raw damage, the way rape should be written in fiction (bc like I said, I agree with u, rape shouldnt be like that in porn, it should be the minority of it, cause damn, rape is horrible, rape destroy the victims)
It is like in jinx, where it's to show how a relationship is toxic, fucked up and lie on domination of the other, showing there is no love.
Or is the rape depicted is the same as in sekaiichi hatsukoi : a way to show how the other character desire the other but isn't judged for that (Where is, in my opinion, the worst case bc *here* it normalize what a rape is, and even hide it behind love, sickening)
That's all I have to say about it.
"they say they don't know how to dress in the crotch but I think it was a storm pretending to be a crotch rain" truly poetic made me shed a tear
