I actually like this a lot... Top is just your average selfish and disrespectful guy... Not some unredemable r***** that lock people in their basement and beat/r*** others when it doesn't suit them or for shitty pointless revenge.

Everyone makes it about these two characters, but the real problem of this story is PACING. You can like Ian better or Brian, it doesn't matter. They are two different characters with their respective story (which will come together I assume) I actually like the past arc, the politic and the power play between faction. The world building is interesting, but the pacing is an issue... It's been a issue for a long time. I understand Ian stan frustration if they dislike Brian, but it's a symptom of a pacing issue.

I think this story should've started with Brian, not Ian... Or the flashback should've been paced better during the main story somehow bit by bit. This type of long flashback only tells me the story should've started with Brian alive and S1 should've ended with his death. Break. Then Ian's story.

I don't even remember the plot or key players from Ian story. I will need to reread his Arc when we switch otherwise I will be completely lost.

I really like this story and this world, but they are doing it a massive disservice with this structure I feel like.

Yijae acts like the usual innocent twink and like a sad lost child, but he IS an adult. He needs to start adulting. How old is Yijae? He was already an adult when they adopted the kid and that kid is now an adult. He must be 35+ ish at this point.

He acts like a an impulsive 16 years old. He wants his cake and eat it too, he jumps to conclusions, he refuses to put his feet down or any boundaries with his adopted "child".

ML acts more mature and put together than him ffs.

I can't believe he left them 2 seconds. They argued. He turns around and never asks "What is going on?" He should know. He is far from innocent. He knows ML lusts for him... It is hinted. He never adresses it. ML is possessive and he enables him at every turn. He goes on date with the Director. They fight. He acts surprise and jump to defend ML. Like... Really? Read the room ffs. You created the situation!

It's even worse when he's with White hair guy... Which is completely weird because he did the parenting oddly enough. White hair gaslight him and infantilise him so much.

At least when he's with the director, he gets his agency back and acts more mature a little... I am going to be disapointed if MC truly ends with his partner's killer.

Is there a reason why they didn't leave the orphanage more or less together or a similar time. Mido left and he spent the whole day doing god knows what.... Leaving a vunerable kid alone the whole day.

It's just too convenient.

If he's worried what the man might do to Mido if he adopts him because he's omega, he should've been very aware of the same risk applying outside the orphanage if he left him alone there to way for many hours with nowhere to go.

Again. It doesn't make sense. MC was obviously aware of the dangers if he was worried about the adoption.

None of this is excusing Mido's abuse, but this story is a shitshow of misunderstanding and characters jumping to conclusion. Initially, I thought it was a problem of the writing with Mido... but now it's every character. The writing isn't very strong here. All of the plot is too convenient and doesn't make sense if anyone there was thinking for 2 seconds.

Please don't forget the younger blonde is lying, gaslighting him and enabling Mido's abuse. He's better than Mido, sure... But the bar is litteraly on the floor.

This conversation... And the recent event in the raw. The way the sex is framed. I feel like White haired dude is endgame unfortunately MC is completely unable to stay firm. He won't just say they're family... Is it that difficult? He raised the kid. They're family. I am sad for Director, I love his character.

MC needs to figure out what he truly wants to do - not just pick something because he can support his boyfriend. He needs to push boundaries. Class or Exam, if your partner say they only have 30 minutes to check on you... I feel like sex isn't on the table

ML needs to go back to school. I feel like he doesn't have any excuses. He works part time, he cooks and cleans at home... Really? I feel like he should finish his education for starter. It's easy enough and it would make him feel better.

I feel like their terrible experience at sex wasn't really fixed either? Or did I miss something? MC didn't like it at one point and now he's thinking of asking him to top. It's probably still pretty bad.

Angel is like the perfect man. He cooks. He cleans. He's cute.

His only problem so far is that he sleeps around a lot... But he's single. He can do whatever he wants.

I really like his character tbh.
He knows what he wants. He's straight forward about it. He feels a lot more realistic than many other bottom in other BL who are just there to be at the top's mercy. He's a breath of fresh air.

Seo-An has a fucking problem and doesn't make sense. He is an adult. 10 years later, he still thinks about MC and him when they were teens. He's having sex with him and he thinks about it... the way he looks at it... it seems like he longs for it. He blush at him like a teen boy.

But he is a complete selfish asshole. He is only focused on himself, doesn't wear a condom and refuses to listen when he finally has the opportunity to do it with him. It could have been a good moment for him to be better... But he once again falls deeper each chapter into the typical red flag we see everywhere.

His character doesn't make any sense.

Thank god MC slapped him. That line was fucking cringe (even IF it comes from a real regret because he could have had this with him when they were younger - and it would have been healthier I'm sure). He didn't even bother making MC feel good... It's always about himself. He deserves more than a slap in my opinion and I am scared of what he intends to do next.

Nothing he can do can help at this point except stopping or starting back from the beginning with MC consent and following his lead on what he's confortable with and what he enjoys... Focusing on MC pleasure instead of his own for once ffs!

But that would be way too good for Seo-An who am I kidding... He'll probably continue the abuse while thinking about their teenage exploration fondly... As if that's not weird at all

Dohun is so precious. He is very objective oriented, but so awkward. His social skills aren't the best. He can't read the room very well.

I love him. He is such a refreshing MC. He reminds me of the character from Semantic Error a little - which I absolutely loved!

Miscommunication trope is kind of overused, but it's fine here Juheon is sweet. I liked how he was honest even if they're not really together. It felt like an approriate answer. There was no perfect answer. It might not be serious, but he wouldn't want to make Dohu think he wants to date anyone else either... From his PoV, that felt like the best answer anyway. Poor guy.

This whole manhwa I kept hoping eventually we would get true consent and loving sex where MC looks like he's actually enjoying himself and is treated right. The side stories were an opportunity for it... I guess Author can't write anything else but rape being romanticized and fetichized

Is such a good character. He's litteraly the star. He's sweet, attentive, nice... I wish Cirrus would open up to him and get the support he deserves to heal. He keeps seeing him as a rival, when he should be seen as the ally and ultimate good guy that he is.

Skylar simply doesn't have what it takes to help Cirrus and support him right now. Maybe eventually, but not right now. He's not capable of seeing what Cirrus needs/wants from him... Or choose not to. He's also way too reactive, agressive and violent to offer anything to help. It isn't necessarily his fault, it's a result of his own issues... But still a problem.

I just don't see how someone who is dependant + victim of violence and SA can be with someone who is avoidant + agressive and violent.

Feels bad.
