I read from another comment that this ending soon, I believe next one is the end (someone correct me if I'm wrong). Because of that, the plot wasn't evened out properly. But if the author had more time to flesh out the ending, I feel like the slow simmer at the beginning was just right (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

People saying that granny should have died earlier; it seems like it was the author's plan to use her deteriorating health, and eventual death, to put Dan in the current (suicidal) state that he's in. Dan and Jaekyung had to reach certain points in their livrs in order for granny's death to create an impact in the story and move the plot along. It took a while for it to happen, but clearly now with things between dan and jaekyung, there was a reason for that to be delayed.

This is the first time I've seen an "awakened" alpha used in the plot. While I did like seeing a sweet and kind Shin, the story made an emphasis on the distinction between an awakened alpha and a regular one, therefore it may almost seem uncharacteristic if Shin didn't exhibit some kind of stereotypical alpha behavior. Idk, his behavior might go further downhill in the next couple of chapters, so we'll see.
I feel like Brett is feeling frustrated in this situation. Ideally, he likes it when Hayden takes control and let's him truly feel it, make it hurt. They still have a lot of chemistry and the scene looks hot on the surface, but the vibe is different when Brett is desperately trying to maintain control of his arrangement with Hayden, while Hayden in return is trying desperately to pull away.

I love how you can kind of see Hayden getting swept up in the situation, and then he looks up and sees Brett's calculating eyes and immediately pulls away again
AAAAH and the detail of a little blue in Hayden's eyes before it cuts to Brett is SUCH a nice detail!
