the whole thing was just porn with overexaggerated conflicts and unanswered questions like what about that guy who was forcefully pursuing gunjoon and that black car waiting for him? what about the side couple? man it was just so irritating - mc has these ideals and too strict rules at the start for no reason and then goes batshit crazy at everything and the coercive sex at the start ew. and for the majority of this they just couldn’t communicate. ml is strange bc of his upbringing but if mc has been in at least 3 relationships, wouldn’t he know how to act in a relationship? then again, i’m expecting too much from someone who dumped his last few bfs through text, then blocked them idk, the whole thing was just odd and the ending was so dumb. they seem like one of those couples who won’t last that long, like they barely have a connection outside of sex
oh also, mc is such a shitty friend man. hes one of those people who get into a relationship and ditch their friends immediately. whenever he was with the friend group, he was never mentally or emotionally present and he was only close with doyoon bc of the smoking area.
i don’t expect every story i read to have some intricate, mind blowing plot - i enjoy plain, fluffy romance, but this was such a one dimensional story with the most boring characters and we don’t even know anything about them except that they fuck like rabbits
idc if this is how the government would’ve handled this in reality, it’s a fucking gay FICTIONAL story about zombies and a time loop - NOTHING ABOUT THIS STORY IS REALISTIC it baffles me why the author would build up such an amazing and unique story just to destroy it with a confusing and extremely unsatisfying ending
youngwon’s bday is on christmas eve, but the infection/time loop/actual plot started on christmas morning and at the end was youngwon’s 26th birthday - so that means they were in the hospital for a year?? i understand why hohyun would be there since they would constantly exploit him and take his blood, but it doesn’t make sense for him to be a patient nor does it make sense for youngwon to still be there a patient. sure he could still be going for checks up + physical therapy for the bullet wound, but certainly not a patient.
and youngwon’s an art student, why would have he of all people been tampering with the equipment in the biology lab?? it wasn’t even shown in the story that he went there - like its possible to believe that maybe he went to see a friend or smth and tinkered with the equipment, but it not been explicitly shown makes it even less plausible to see
i wonder if the author is just a weirdo and thought “hmm, what’s the worst ending i could possibly write?” or maybe they thought if they gave the story a bad ending, it would garner a lot of attention, regardless of whether it was good or not
i’m happy that youngwon and hohyun are together, but everything is just so futile and unresolved that even them being together doesn’t feel like much bc reading the story makes you feel so empty. i’ve been waiting for this to be completed for two years now i think and it was such a waste man. like it was honestly such a good story but that shitty ending makes the 66 chapters useless
i think it would be very easy for jinwoo to kill guwon. we see how explicitly guwon trusts jinwoo, so i think if jinwoo were to keep a knife or gun by his bedside table, and lure guwon to his bed with sex, it would be feasible. if guwon were to question him about the sudden appearance of the weapon, jinwoo could always lie that he feels unsafe now since the hounds are around + the rule that they have to keep their doors unlocked, and guwon wouldn’t care too much in that moment. however, there are two issues with him dying:
1. the town would fall into chaos. suddenly without a leader and finally being able to access as much resources they need and do whatever they want, i feel like they could possibly bring in more people than able to handle, and they would finish everything. or they don’t bring anyone new in, and they still finish what stock is left bc they won’t have someone limiting them
2. more importantly, the hounds lose their minds. it’s been said before that the hounds have blind faith in guwon or smth along those lines, and if guwon were to die, i believe the townspeople would meet a gruesome end. tbh, the townspeople do need the hounds and guwon to survive so i think the hounds would just massacre everyone and take whatever supplies are left over. maybe they’d stay in the town for a bit, but ultimately they’d leave and the hounds can hunt and fend for themselves so survival in any way wouldn’t be an issue to them
buuuttttt, considering guwon’s freakish inhumane appearance and behaviour, i don’t think he’s 100% behaviour. while he can experience emotions and succumb to stress (i.e. the time when he passed out after killing woojun’s dad) i don’t think he can actually be killed. so i think even if jinwoo manages to stab or shoot guwon, guwon will feel the emotional and physical pain, but nothing further. and he’ll definitely be hurt, so maybe he’ll lock jinwoo away idk and that’s how it ends - guwon and the hounds doing their thing as usual, the townspeople depressed but living, and jinwoo confined forever for guwon’s happiness and pleasure

i thought i would be able to like this guy eventually, later down the line, bc i do love me an obsessive top, but he’s just sick. guwon forcing himself on jinwoo in chapter 22 i think, and now finding out he killed jinwoo’s father, and now killing the doctor - absolutely not. i know these things usually end with the mc and the main ml getting together, but there is still the unrequited love tag so i’m holding out hope that guwon dies or smth idc
i was kinda lost bc the last time i read it was last year, but the sides were great too. man when yohan’s master died, that was so sad my poor baby i hate that fuckass fox. bro and then gunoh and his father, the way he kept chanting dad, i was sobbing my eyes out, i’m still sniffling and the baby deer, that was so horrible urgh

this was nice, but i wish we got a more definitive close on gyoon and jihye - they just went abroad with no one seeing them off and it wasn’t even explicitly stated when they left, plus we didn’t see much of them after they had sex. but a very lovely story overall - oh, and i wish i saw hyunho getting together with someone. if namwoo isn’t straight, i ship them
the first two parts, even a little bit of the third part, was so exhausting. the way they argue about every small thing, and also hide everything from each other is so annoying - they refuse to communicate about the things that matter and then blow up at each other when it gets too much.
euntak, my baby, as much as i love him, he needs to get whacked in the head to gain some sense - and that’s exactly what the second accident gave him he pursues dojae knowing full well the guy doesn’t like him+only wants him for sex, yet he makes up all of these fantasies in his mind. and i get that - his crush is willing to date him, why wouldn’t he imagine them getting together in the end. but his problem is that he gets too in his head and lets it interfere with reality. also the other issue is that he cares too much about what other people, but i also get it. i’m also queer, i cant just come out to my family bc theyre so homophobic, but it’s also such a struggle on dojae’s side too - he doesn’t understand how things work in a conventional manner, and i can imagine how confusing it must’ve been for a guy who was so obviously making heart eyes at him at every opportunity, finally get with him and then want to hide their relationship. that’s also so hurtful, the fact that you’re in a happy relationship but being forced to be hidden away - i understand its obviously bc of the blatant homophobia, and euntak would proudly parade around with dojae in a better world, but it doesn’t lessen the hurt. also the thing with euntak is that he expects dojae to read his mind. even after they overcame everything in parts one and two and he figured how to work around dojae’s disorder, he expects dojae to read his mind and act like a perfect partner which isn’t realistic.
dojae, god help me. he’s so hot, but so infuriating yk for their three date agreement, i was so sure that euntak said dojae couldnt see anyone else and he agreed to that but idk? and i don’t understand why dojae didn’t stay monogamous during that time - it has nothing to do with feelings but whatever. i understand bc of his disorder he can be frustrating, but that can’t be an excuse for everything. i’m sure it gets exhausting having to deal with it constantly. like, he can be such a hypocrite - he goes and sees another woman after going on a date with euntak, but gets upset when he saw euntak and hyuk hugging? he gets upset about euntak being shirtless AT THE BEACH, while he himself is shirtless. euntak has so much patience, bc even if i were to date dojae and know that he could be exhausting, whenever he were to act like a hypocrite, i would smack him with a brick or smth idk
overall, i do think they’re cute together and their softer, fluffier scenes were so nicely done. i wish they weren’t so sex-centred, but sigh, this IS a bl after all, why would i expect them to talk and be domestic when they could be having sex instead (pls note my sarcasm ) i loved part three the most - they were the most settled and domestic, and their arguments were very short. not to mention the comedic nature made it a lot more enjoyable to read, i was giggling at everything like theyre so dumb but i love them
