Okay guys, you really need to stop making uenoyama the poor protagonist who’s getting stepped all over. Yes, it really sucks for uenoyama cause he is constantly reminded of mafuyu’s dead boyfriend but come on, the guy is dead, can you not let his friends grieve properly? They need to make peace with his death and it takes time and it is exactly the main idea of this manga. ALSO, for people who are like “oh I feel bad because uenoyama had to listen to a song mafuyu wrote for someone else”, I don’t think you understand what that song truly means for mafuyu. It not only tells his love for his late boyfriend but also his regrets and it allowed him to properly say goodbye so he can move on. Singing that song during that live was like his first true breath after the death of yuuki. He accepted his death, and can now accept his love towards uenoyama. So now, please stop pitying uenoyama because it is downright disrespectful to this little precious little bean.

I mean lol you can still pity him and acknowledge all that. I think the problem is how much Yuki is overshadowing Uenoyama here and there is this constant frustration because it does look like we have to constantly compare them. Nowadays Yuki is glaringly wayyy more in the centre which was not the case for early chaps. I feel like before we were truly dealing with characters moving on but now we are stubbornly stuck in the past. Plus now Yuki is always brought up in the context of Uenoyama instead of Mafuyu and I'm here like???? Why is he the one dealing with that and having the burden of understanding Yuki placed on him? it's not like he knew him like at all. There are other ways. It's not his responsibility to rid them all of grief bc that looks like he is just a replacement. They gotta do it on their own.
