Yeah but this is a prime example of a very forced happy ending.So many authors(BL or not) try to write sad stories but at the very end,they lose their balls and give us a forced and unsatisfying "happy ending"
And also i would like to see how the son would feel about that,he used Jaehyun for sex and revenge and if he died,would he feel that he's no better than his father...I don'r really know but like i said,that would definitely deal more impact and feel more real...With this type of ending it will be just another of many generic yaoi that will soon be forgotten.I guess you can see where my disappointment comes from

I don’t think trying to give readers a happy ending makes the author lose their balls. I think they’re just trying to please their readers. Think about it, if jaehyun died, many people would be unhappy and might stop reading. That’s where my disappointment would come from. I mean what’s the point in killing off a character just to see how the other would react? Sure it would be realistic, but it’d also be unsatisfying. Which is why I believe the author tried to please everyone by giving them a happy ending.

You have a point,and that's the other problem with this webtoon(i see a lot of people already mentioned this)and that is how rushed it was,those two didn't have a single emotional/romantic moment before...so where the fu*k did all that "I can"t live without you"came from.I would also be sad if Jaehyun died if he and the son had any development whatsoever....but we got nothing.That's why i believe that the author wanted to kill Jaehyun,but couldn't in the end,it's because all this "extreme"love came literally from this very chapter(hence my vulgar "losing balls"comment,sorry about that).
I realise that Jaehyun dying would upset people....but after reading quite a bit of BL i kinda wish for something different,original and memorable.This manga started really deep and complex but turned so simple and generic in the last few chapter.
I mean,honestly,are you really satisfied with this ending

Yeah, I’m satisfied with this ending, I mean he got away from an abusive relationship and found love on the way. I mean I feel like there should’ve been more chapters where they could build up there relationship more and connect, but there wasn’t. And we got what we got and that’s enough for me

Because then he’ll always be thinking in his head “does she know, maybe she does, but isn’t saying anything or maybe she really doesn’t question anything” so yeah if she comes out straight that she knows it’ll make him less anxious and clear on what his next steps should be.
