Why did they do that?
It's kinda like adoption for the sake of humanity. They explain some of it on the beginning. Something like human-beast cross breeding so that the beasts and humans can survive and live in harmony, so the alpha and omegas beasts have babies and give them up for adoption to humans. Kinda how we give up kittens and puppies for adoption, I suppose, but the goal is different. I really don't know how to explain it so that it makes sense, sorry ┗( T﹏T )┛
I know like.... They are your children...not kittens you found on the streets. What will happen when they grow up?? Are they going to be gratefull to their mother for giving them away to strangers?? I questioned all my morals from just this move omg.... Sentient beings do not really do that unless they have some sort of financial disability or lack of support.... And people who want to have kids but cant usually take cells from donnors. Like why??? Why did all of us had to question our morals like that?

As you can see in the last chapter Tou meets with his baby brother (the one who got hard ) anyways he was one of those who got to be given away but as you can see the babies are just babies they half animals so they understood when their mom said("visit me when you guys are all grown up and I'll make you guys coffee") The kids understood they were given to adoption because they were explained when they are old enough(the mom has to make sure they also dont get to attached to them) that's why only Tou recieved love then his siblings

Ok ok I missed that and I have to admit it. BUT. That does not change that I did not like how things worked in this society. I'm sorry to say that cuz I liked it at the beginning. It left me a bit annoyed and frustrated just because it steped on my morals. If the author wanted to make this another society kind of feel, in my opinion, things should have been explained better instead of saddenly showing the parents suddenly giving them away like you would give your dogs puppies when you don't have the room for them
It took me by surprise too. I was actually heartbroken when they had to give their babies away because they do look like they don't want to give them up but they've got no other choice
Ik it's sad but look at it this way when an Owners dog or cat have babies they tend to realise they cant keep all of their babies and have to(sometimes) give them to adoption. It is sad to do it but they are very happy to know that they will be loved in their new homes instead going to the pound. In this case Tou mom is very happy to help society that's why he was willing to have more children and the same goes for Tou following his mother footsteps (that's why he said "I'll give birth to more then mother". The main reason they get to in peace is because they know the people that adopt them are DESPERATE to became parents because not everyone (regardless wether your a women or beta women) can give birth mostly ONLY OMEGAS especially the cat tribe (regardless of gender) have a higher chance of giving children. So long story short they live in a society where this a Norm and will get over it soon but at least still have the right to see their kids I'd then want to even the adoptive parents are ok with it.
