I’ve tried to read this probably 6 times over the past couple years and I always get to the same spot of like chapter 20 or something and immediately get bored. Is the plot worth pushing through and reading it all?

It's not that good. You can skip read it and you won't miss much. I think I read what I need from a few chapters then sorta seriously read it after chapter 70??? more or less.

I honestly believe Cárcel is named prison because no matter what life she’s in, she can’t escape him. I adore this story. And this doesn’t even have to do with the current chapter, but when Cárcel found Inés after she was beaten by the prince, there’s something very endearing and heartbreaking on how angry he was on her behalf. I think he’s always loved her in every single one, sigh, all the times where they juuuuuusttt missed one another due to timing. She could’ve been saved from worlds of hurt.

It’s truly hard to master the tension and the building of it in stories. I’ve read too many manhuas where the storyline is good enough but the smut falls flat. There’s no movement or dimension to it and it feels so still even in scenes of action. But some authors/artists seriously have it down to a science. It’s honestly such a treat to find authors that do it well. And this is most definitely one of them. I’ve not been disappointed once with this one
