Reasoning: Repetitive as fuck and poorly written. The whole plot is about the fl getting hurt, her crying and someone saves her and it repeats again and again. The fan base and their fans are the literal worse they can never take a fucking opinion. Their excuse to defend a lot of the characters is trauma and how well written the trauma is even though it’s kind of poorly written and I’ve seen way better like lost in the cloud. All the characters are unlikable bland, and actually not well written not even Ruby sorry not sorry she has no personality other than being self pitiful and pretty throughout the whole entire story, she never had character development but I’m not surprised the story is written by a man. Anyways, if you actually wanna read a story where it has actual good abuse representation and good complex characters that would be lost in the cloud. That’s how you write traumatized and complex characters.

Reasoning: This did a better job in showing abuse and the fl actually having character development but I’ve seen a pattern with writing abuse victims they tend to make them cute and tiny and then they make the male lead 10 times bigger and humongous. Hi, Central Europe here and I would agree with STEWIE and Mbaremark. Age gap is fine as long as both are adults, so generally 18+. Below 18 for me it depends... If the minor is a high schooler, then it's fine as long as the age gap is small, so up to 5y diff preferable, ~10y max and of course no sex until the minor turns adult. If the minor is even younger, then for me (36yo) it's a child and I don't feel comfortable reading a work romanticizing children, feels gross.

i'm from portugal so, south west europe and here generally if you're 17 it's fine to date someone older, but id day maybe 2-3 years max! once you're 18, age gaps are fine, unless they're really excessive right, because it's not like you suddenly become an adult just because you turn 18.
